Are you puzzled about the title of my post today? I bet you're thinking that I'm going to tell you that instead of blogging the past few weeks I decided to sit on my couch and drink lots of lemonade instead, aren't you?
As much as I'd like to admit that's all the better I have to do during the day, I'm afraid it just ain't so! This girl cruises in and out of every day at warp speed! No time to clean the house let alone make a pitcher of lemonade to sip sweetly on the couch......
No, my title today has more to do with the new Basic Grey paper that's all the rage with cardmakers right now, AND with the new Papertrey Ink stamp set designed by the beautiful Lisa Johnson (Poppy Paperie). I'm obsessed with both of these things at the moment, so I thought I'd feature a card everyday this week that I lovingly made with Lemonade and On My Couch. {{{{Squeeeeeal}}}}}!!! Can you believe it? You're going to get 5, maybe SIX cards out of me this week! Woo-hoo, give it up for me!!!!
Can't wait a single minute longer? Ready....Set.....GO!!!!!!
I can't stand how adorable every pattern in the Basic Grey Lemonade line is! Whoever designed this over there sure must be rakin' in the dough right about now. It's wildly popular, and can't you see why? Pinks, aquas, greens, and yellows, flowers and cherries! Spectacular!
Hugs,
And when combined with Lisa's little couches, it's cuteness quotiant is off the charts!
In Lisa's set, there are numerous options for couches that allow you to stamp either a couch pattern with different color inks, OR, stamp a couch outline on designer paper for paper piecing. For this particular couch, I used Pink Passion ink along with one of Lisa's patterned couch stamps. Then I cut it out and adhered it to my cardstock using some dimensional tape.
Now, before you go thinking the owl is part of the On My Couch stamp set, get ahold of yourself. It's not. Whoa....Nelly. Putting that special little guy on the couch was the brilliant idea of my stamping partner-in-crime, Lue. We were at her cabin stamping last weekend and I was using the owl paper for something else. She thought it would look adorable cut out and positioned on the couch. What a genius. And combined with that adorable sentiment...I mean, come on---can it be any cuter?????? I think not (ok, so maybe that's a subjective question depending on what you think is cute or not, but in my honest opinion-- it can't get much cuter than this!).
I hope you're as jazzed to see my Lemonade Couch Cards this week as I am to share them with you. Be sure to stop by tomorrow so you can see what else I've managed to create using these two amazing products!
Hugs,
Amy
