Berry Much.

Once in a while, it's fun to take out old images and see what new things you can create with them.

This card was made with an oldy from PTI (by the way, for those of you not familiar with PTI, it stands for Papertrey Ink, the stamp company headed by Nichole Heady) called Green Thumb. It had this sweet strawberry image in the set that I thought would be fabulous stamped in pink and then paired with all these fun papers, most of which had pink in them too.

The bottom paper, as you can tell, was blue and I'm sure you're wondering why the heck I put blue on this card, aren't you? Well, I felt that it really broke up all the pink from the other papers and ribbon that I used. It adds a fresh, unexpected twist to the card that you might not expect to see. You can't see it in this picture, but I also put diamond glaze all over the actual berry part of the strawberry to make it look a bit more realistic.

Yesterday my new stamps from PTI arrived! I can't wait to get some fun cards stamped up using Lisa Johnson's newest set called On My Couch. Oh boy, did Lisa outdo herself on these newest stamps! Hope to have some cards to show you soon!

Hugs,
Amy

  2. I think the blue paper is brilliant! Not only for the color relief, but also because it has circles which match the circle your strawberry is stamped on. Lovely card.
