Never, Never Give Up

Today's card is a personal one for me. This motto is something I have to keep telling myself over and over lately. Yep...I do often feel like giving up, washing my hands of it all, and saying, "FORGET IT! Enough already! Take me a way, Calgon!".

Sometimes, I just want to run away from it all...escape to a simpler time in my life when worry wasn't front and center in my mind all the time. Winston obviously knew what he was speaking of when he said "never, never, never give up".

I guess running away just isn't a realistic option, is it? Not even for a week or two? Ok, how about a day? Can I just escape the worry for a day and experience pure, unadulterated JOY again? What a wonderful thing. I sure do miss it. For now though, I'll just keep on, keepin' on. I'll keep putting one foot in front of the other in hopes of brighter days. And of course, I will never, never, never give up.

Thanks for the pep talk, Winston. It's just what I needed today.

Hugs,
Amy

  3. Amy, Love your card!! This is something that I needed to be reminded about. I have many times felt like just giving up on everything. Even getting away for a short time doesn't actually but it does recharge you to go back and handle all the worries and such. Thanks for the reminder.

  4. Beautiful card!!! I absolutely love the card and the sentiment. I remember the calgon commercials. I now know what they meant.
One day would be nice, hopefully you get your joy, if only for a little while.

  5. Hi Amy,
I've been reading your blog for a while now and don't think I've ever commented. Just want to say I love your cards! Really an inspiration for me. In this day of financial troubles for lots of folks I think the Winston Churchill quote is perfect. I would love to know where you got the stamp.
