A Tough Post To Write....

An email I recieved today (thanks Barb!!) reminded me that I had forgotten to write a very important post about something that changed in my life recently. I think I've been secretly hoping it would write itself so I didn't have to, because I knew it would be a really hard post to write.

To make it short and sweet, I have resigned from the Verve DT, as well as from the Stamper's Dream DT. This decision had NOTHING to do with either one of these fantastic companies, but everything to do with me and the crazy, over-the-top stressful life I've led this past year. It was time for me to step back from my commitments and focus more time on things on the homefront. I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world to have worked with Julee (Verve) and Michelle (Stamper's Dream)....they are amazing women.

I was a Verve Diva almost from the very beginning. Julee emailed me one day long ago and invited me to be on her design team for her new line of stamps she was going to launch. What a ride it was with Verve! I love their stamps and I am going to miss working with them more than you'll ever know. I feel like I cut off my right arm without Verve. I truely loved every minute I was priveledged to work with Julee's stamps. Julee is one of the most positive, driven, talented and encouraging women I've had the pleasure to meet in blogland. It was an honor to work with and for her, I'm going to miss her terribly. Thank you Julee!!! Love ya girlfriend!

It was only a few months ago that I first started designing for Stamper's Dream. Michelle is SUCH a sweetheart; so down to earth and relaxed. She's so easy to work for, and so generous with both her time and talent. I felt really bad that I had to make this decision so soon after becoming part of her Dream Team. I will always be a friend of Stamper's Dream and will definitely still do my shoppin' there (well, once the Hubster gets a job!). If you are looking for great products and even better customer service, head on over to Michelle at Stamper's Dream! Thank you Michelle, for your understanding and support!

I think it took me so long to write this post because I was so sad that I had to make the decision I did. I never like to make decisions that might hurt those people I care about, and Julee and Michelle are no exception. But ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right?

Thanks to both of you for the amazing opportunity!

Hugs,
Amy

  2. Amy,
They will miss you but you have to do what works for you and the family. Maybe you can do a guest spot once in a while!

  4. Well, Amy, I can surely relate. As much as you may miss your DT *gigs* and your freinds there, you will never regret putting yourself and your family first. I think often times we all lose sight of what is really important in this life. Blessings to you -- love your work!!!

  5. I totally understand because I am in awe of all the DT members that create daily cards. That is so much work I don't know how so many people find time.

I hope your husband finds a position that will allow security for your family. And I hope you continue to download pictures of your cards whenever you find some free time.

I have enjoyed seeing your cards and the pictures from church camp up north.

God Bless you and the family.

I totally understand where you are at Amy. I recently resigned from SU and have now made the decision to discontinue doing my card camps. I too put in a very difficult year and I just want to go back to my card making as a hobby, stress therapy, relaxation, etc. but It is so difficult to say good bye to companies that you love!

  9. I hear you. I was off work on stress leave for two years, went back full-time, and now I'm running like a mad dog trying to keep on going. It seems like I'm running a treadmill every day, and now I'm in bed at 8:00 because I am so tired. I hope things settle for you. I'm sure it was a tough decision you made. I'm so sorry that your anonymous nasty person is writing again. Such a shame you have to stop anonymous comments.

    Hugs,

    Beth
