K.I.S.S (Keepin' It Soooo Simple) Saturdays

We had a really relaxing evening last night hanging out with our special friends Mike, Sue and Lindsey. Mike made prime rib on the grill, Sue made a fabulous new potato dish, and I brought the ceasar salad and bread. Every morsel I stuffed into my mouth was delicious! Oh, I can't forget the Bailey's Irish Cream/Mocha cake she made too. Mmmm, mmm, good.

I thought I'd show you another guy card that I made that fits the bill of SOOOOO Simple, which is the feature for today. I definitely love the simple layout that makes using scraps easy too. The striped BG paper was found in my scrap drawer from long ago. I slapped a piece of black cardstock at the bottom of the paper just for a little contrast. The sentiments come from the SU set called Happy Birthday, which I haven't used in like, such a long time! It was so fun to use it again, and I know I'll be taking it out more often now that I remember I have it, lol. Do you ever forget what stamps you have because you keep getting newer ones?

Today is a busy sort of day. The Hubster is finally home this weekend, no freelance football games to travel to. He'll be busy getting the house winterized and ready for the possible flurries expected in the forecast tomorrow. Say it isn't snow, I mean so. Besides warding off the snow, I have to get a bunch of goodies baked for the Cathedral Choir Bake Sale at church tomorrow that raises money for the choir's spring trip to St. Petersburg, FL. I got my first batch of goodies made and packaged yesterday (I went easy and made almond bark pretzle rods), and today I plan on making Rainbow Blondies (bars with M&M's in them) and hopefully Snickerdoodles. I will take a picture of all my goodies to share with you later next week. This afternoon I am heading out with some girlfriends shopping. We are going to all the boutiques in town looking at all the fun holiday gifts and decorations.

I hope you have a terrific weekend too chicky's.

Hugs,
Amy
