A Little Lemon Goes a Long Way

I just have a little bit of time to post this morning....I'm off to bible study. I was having trouble with my internet service this morning, so I got behind getting this out.

Guess what snuck in the package with my personal Stamper's Dream order the other day (I ordered some accessories for my new Just Rite Stamper)? This Impression Obsession Lime Stamp, although for this card, I made them lemons! I needed to make a thank you card for a customer and I thought this stamp would be adorable with the fun K & Co. Berry Sweet paper I combined it with! That's the fun about it, it's adual purpose stamp...it can be lemons OR limes, LOL!

The image is stamped with Memento Ink, and colored using Copics. It's such a fun stamp to color! The other stamp Michelle snuck in my order for me (thanks Michelle!!!) is a sentiment to go along with this image that says "When life gives you limes, make margaritas!!" I need to be making some cards with that sentiment pronto!

The layout I chose for this card came from a card Lisa Johnson recently had published in Home & Heart magazine (Summer '08 issue). Instead of a stamped image on top, she used a photo, I think. I copied the layout into my inspiration journal so use when the opportunity arose, and it finally did! In case you missed the post where I talked about my inspiration journal, you can click on this link to read about it. I really love having my journal...I don't have to think so hard to come up with a layout. That was really what was holding back my mojo so much, I think!

Well, like I said, not alot of time to chit chat today. I've got to get off to bible study.

Hugs,

Amy

  4. Sorry I haven't commented in a while. My laptop has been broken. Anyways, love all the bright, fun colors you've been playing with lately.

P.S. I have to tell you, I made a card the other day using 8 different patterned papers from 8 different companies. I thought you could appreciate that since you are the expert at mixing patterned paper.
