Friends

I really don't remember what inspired me to make this card back in June, but it sure is bright, even for me!

Actually, it might have been a card made by the uber talented Amy Scheffer (Pickled Paper Designs). Now that I think about it a little more, it was this card of hers that stirred my creative juices that day. See the similarities, LOL????? I think I was inspired by her to use flower embellishments, which really aren't easy for me. I don't like using them because #1: I think they're expensive and I'm such a cheapskate, and #2: I can never get them to look right on my cards!

The designer paper is the luscious White Out Collection from We R Memory Keepers. This paper is an amazing array of fabulous colors and flowers. I just can't get enough of it!

I know the card is a little much in the color department, even for me (a self-confessed lover of all bright things)! But I do love it, probably because I love the paper so much. The flowers? Mmmmm, not so crazy about them. They look dorky to me. Maybe I should take lessons from Amy for putting flowers on cards. I'm sure I could learn a thing or two!

Well, I am off to get ready for a round of golf. I am going with one of my local radio reps (Joy). Hi Joy if you're reading this today!! I'm so glad the weather broke slightly and it's not 90 and humid today. We both had decided that if the weather was like it was this past Sunday, we would NOT be going golfing today. Tonight we have Youngest Son's last baseball game (praise the Lord!!!!). It was not a good season, to say the least. We are all happy to see the season come to a close. From here on out, no more baseball!!! Yippee!

Have a great day!

Hugs,
Amy

Super cute card!! I think the colors are perfect! Thanks for a great day today, I truly enjoyed myself. The conversation was great and just what I needed. Thanks for the info on seeking out the new Bible study. I will be praying about that. Also thank you for sharing with me how faithful God has been to you, what a great witness!
