Good news! Remember that coffee card I made a few weeks ago using an Impression Obsession set called Smell the Coffee? Well, it's finally restocked over at Stamper's Dream!!! Woo-hoo! Get over there today, because it will be gone lickity-split, I guarantee it! Just to help jog your memory, here's another card I made using the same set....
To get started I searched my scrap drawer for some fun paper and based on the colors of those, chose which Copics I'd use to color the coffee cups. The image was stamped on Very Vanilla cardstock with Adirondack Ink in Espresso. See how I paper pieced the front two coffee cups using the same polka dot paper as the background? The set includes on individual cup stamp, so I was able to stamp the tiny coffee cup image once onto the patterned paper and then adhere it to the image using dimensional tape, making the cups really pop and appear 3-dimensional.
This is such a fun stamp set, I really hope you get over to Stamper's Dream right away today to get your Smell the Coffee set before they're out of stock! Don't be late or hesitate (don't you love my little rhyme?)!!!
While you're over at Stamper's Dream buying the uber cool coffee set, be sure and consider picking up this tiny little set as well. It's one of my new favorite sets from Impression Obsession called Cupcake. Oh, can I just say the card I made using this tiny set (it's only about 2"x4") is so adorable I can hardly stand it? But you're going to have to just trust me that it's cute, because I'm not going to share it with you until tomorrow......I know, I know, that is totally mean, isn't it? But I can't show all my cards in one day, can I? I just don't want this little set to sell out before tomorrow, so I wanted to tell you about it today, ok? Right now, she's got 12 sets in stock, but since it's only $8, it's going to be snatched up quickly! I don't normally do that, but Michelle sells out of her product really quickly, and I want MY readers to have first dibs at them before they're gone (I know, I'm sooooooo selfish, but I'm watching out for you guys, I really am!!). You're gonna love this tiny, adorable little cupcake set. You all know how hot cupcakes are these day, don't you, thanks to Taylor over at Taylored Experssions . She's a cupcake freak, and she's made us all cupcake freaks too, LOL!!!!
One more special tidbit about Stamper's Dream....did you know Michelle now has a new shipping offer? Spend $75 and your stuff ships for free (domestic orders only)! Michelle really wants to reward her customers for their loyalty, so she's giving back in a way that speaks volumns! FREE SHIPPING! Gotta love it....
Ok, now on to a few other things. Regarding my post yesterday about my SU personalized stamp. First of all, thanks for the your feedback! You had some great leads on other companies that sell personalized stamps. Some I had seen before, others were new to me. Many of you suggested triming my stamp, which, lo and behold, I followed your advice! I don't know why I didn't think of that myself. I trim all my other stamps. Anyways, doing that did help eliminate the background getting inked up. And because I got rid of that, the actual printed stamp did stamp slightly better, although still not perfect. Unfortunately, many of you said the script lettering is worse than the normal font, and of course, I chose script font for my stamp, so that seems to be the other reason my stamp doesn't stamp well. Bummer. I think it's good enough to keep though. It's too much of a hassle to send back, etc. One of my wonderful readers suggested I use a Just Rite Stamper for my personal stamp and I thought, "what a great idea"!!! I just got one in the mail the other day! Woo-hoo! I will definitely be working on designing my own personalized stamp using the Just Rite Stamper!
Ok, I think that's all I have to share today. Golfing yesterday was fabulous! The weather was perfectly cool and the course and company (Joy) was wonderful! We did a simple 9 holes and then went out for a bite to eat. Thanks Joy, I had a great time!
It's time to sign off for today. Hope you have a great day and get lots of stamping done!
Hugs,
Amy

AWESOME card! I love every single detail! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh! I just did the same thing with a SU personalized stamp and it said almost the same as yours and was also the script. I have trimmed and trimmed and I'm still getting shadows, and the print isn't real clear you are complaining aobut. I too was thinking about sening mine back. I was like you - I couldn't believe SU would put out such an inferior product. I think SU probably has someone else making these and they definetely need to look for another company if this is the inferior product they are going to be selling.
ReplyDeleteThis card is fantastic!! And thanks for all the info about Stampers Dream!
