Paint Chips

I've always wanted to try making a "Congratulations on your new home" card using a paint chip strip from the local home improvement store. But, I never had any "new home" stamp sets until just recently.

So guess what I did? The minute I got my tiny Hero Arts clear stamp set from Stamper's Dream, I went to the local home improvement store and got some paint chips!

Nowadays, the paint chips are SOOOO fancy, I almost felt bad taking some knowing I'd be using them to make some cards. But I only took a few, so I didn't feel bad for long:). This orange paint chip ROCKS! I am a lover of orange, don'tcha know? I searched through my scrap drawer to find some paper that would work well with the orange, and was pleased I was able to find some old Basic Grey paper that worked perfectly.

This tiny little Hero Arts clear stamp set is adorable. It measure only 2.5x4 inches big, and include 10 little rhinestones as well. There are two little sentiments in the set, a butterfly, a heart, and some flowers, not to mention the little door you see above! All these stamps in that one tiny little package! What a deal! I definitely think I'll be using this set alot, not only for friends that are moving into new homes, but to just say hello to special neighbors and friends.

Late yesterday afternoon I was invited at the last minute to golf in a charity golf tournament. Of course, I said yes because I love to golf and don't get the opportunity to do it much anymore. The only bad news is that we've got a really early tee-off time! I have to be to the course by 730am. Thank heavens it's not too far from my house. The woman that invited me, Sally, is my rep from one of the local radio stations here in town. She has to come a LONG way to get here, and probably has to leave her house by 6a! Too bad for her. I'm glad it's a scramble/best ball tournament since I haven't golfed since last season! I think my balls are going to have a personal, close relationship today with the trees lining each fairway, LOL.

Well, it's time for me to sign off and go get ready to play golf! I'm so excited and I think the weather is going to cooperate today too! Can't forget the sunscreen.

Hugs,
Amy
