Well, it's departure day! Woo-hoo!!!! It will take us nearly 5 hours to get to camp (that's counting a stop for lunch) today. Word is it's cool up there. I hope I packed the right clothes!
I will try and post a few cards over the week while I'm gone. If you feel liking praying, please pray for safe travel to and from camp!
Hugs,
Amy
p.s. This picture is of a flower that I am HOPING I will see once we get to camp. They line the roadways and are one of my favorite flowers EVER! This picture was taken last year, we pulled over to the side of the road so I could snap a few shots! They're luscious Lupines!

I love lupins too - they are a typical British Cottage Garden flower - whenever I grow then the snails and slugs just gobble them up! Happy times and safe travels to you all.
ReplyDeletePraying for a safe journey to and from. May God speak to you this week while you are at camp and may you also find spiritual rejuvenation. Hope you got to see your lupines on the way up... they are gorgeous flowers, indeed. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful week! Very pretty picture of the Lupines.
ReplyDeletePrayers and blessings to you and your faith family this week, Amy. The lupines are just a confirmation of the wondrous works of God. We have such an awesome God!
ReplyDeleteThose ARE uber beautiful! Hoping you have a fabulous time!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful time at your camp. I hope the weather is on your side and that all goes well. Enjoy this special time and place.

Have a great week & I hope you are incredibly blessed! Some of my most fondest memories ever are from camp - love, love, love it! Now, even 20 years later, I still have great friends and memories, not to mention photos, from those special days. I now live in a different province & have my own family but have started taking the boys to family camp each summer now too! Thankfully they love it just as much as mom! Enjoy your time, your friends & your family :)
ReplyDeleteAmy, I may be posting this a little late (I've had internet problems) but have you ever read/seen the children's book "Miss Rumphius?" It is the sweetest story and has such a great message...we each must do one thing to make the world more beautiful. You should check it out. I found my paperback copy at Barnes and Nobel,

Ps- Forgot to tell you--it's about Lupines!

Love these - I've planted some in my flower garden so I'm anxiously awaiting their appearance! :)
