First Things First....

I need to acknowledge a few RAK's I've received over the past few weeks...I feel so privileged, can you believe I was RAK'd by none other than Allison Fillo (Stampin When I Can, a.k.a Spelling Police)? Yessireeee, I was! I got this little beauty in my mailbox last week and boy, did I feel special. Allison keeps this crafting blog world all in order for the rest of us disorganized lassies. We can always count on Allison to let us know who's new to the blog world, who's giving away blog candy, who's got a cool tutorial to share, and once in a while, Allison will even share one of her OWN cards she's made. Thank you Allison for all you do for us, you rock girl! I love the card she sent, it of course reminds me of fall, which is in full swing here in MN. I'm guessing it's in full swing where she lives too (Allison's a Canadian). The colors are fab, the work is fab, Allison's fab!

The second card I received a few weeks ago, so I'm a little late in acknowleging it! This one is from Jana Weaver (Stamp With Jana). I think Jana actually lives in Germany, but she sent the card from the USA. Ithink she was maybe on vacation when she sent it? How cool is that? I love the color combo Jana used...pink, blue and green (I just made a card last night using this combination). I'm guessing the supplies she used on the card come from a kit, but seeing as I'm not very knowledgable in kits, I can't tell you which one! It's so bright and cheerful, it reminds me of summer (since it's only 51 here this morning, it's safe to say summer is on it's last leg here in MN!). Thank you Jana, for thinking of me. You rock!

Finally, here's that picture I promised you of Muriel (my MIL) and I this past Saturday. My hubby and I and our boys went to visit her in the rehab hospital she was in. She had just had a shower and looked great! I was so impressed with how well she seemed to be doing that day. Talking, laughing, etc. But apparently, she was not feeling all that well, and continued to go downhill the rest of the day. She was apparently getting sick. So she was transferred back to the hospital she had spent so much this summer, Abbott Northwestern for testing. We are still awaiting word on what infections her body is fighting. It's possible she has pnuemonia, and a urinary tract infection. She is on two antibiotics. She's really out of it, groggy, not focusing, etc. It's such a bummer she's taken this turn again, but I think they'll get thing under control soon. We knew that we were facing an uphill battle, but this seems like such an ugly turn of events after she was doing so well. I am hoping to go see her today after my leadership meeting.

I hope you all have a great day. Give someone you love a hug today, just for the heck of it. And give it to someone who's least expecting it. It will make their day.

Hugs,
Amy

What a lovely picture of you and Murial. She does look very good in this pic with you, Amy, but I am so sad to hear of her turnaround. Please let her know that people from all over the country are praying for her recovery.

Hi Amy. As I was reading this post, I realized you said Abbot Northwestern. Do you live in Minnesota. I love finding people here in Minnesota. Just thought I would ask. Your family and MIL are in my thoughts and prayers. Have a great day.
