Same Old Routine....

Yep, fun and games are over. It's time to get down to business and get the house cleaned (although the boys kept it pretty clean in my absence) and get some groceries back on the shelves. Only have time for a quick post this morning and then I've got to get rollin'....

First thing I wanted to let you know is that I am heading to the hospital this afternoon for Muriel's surgery. So far it's still scheduled. She'll have dialysis first thing this morning and then surgery is scheduled for 1pm. I can get some stuff done around here first this morning and then go to the hospital a little bit later. We got our youngest son off to camp this morning and I'll pick our oldest up tonight at 630pm! A little bit of "bliss" for me this morning!!!!!!

Wanted to share this card that I made a few weeks ago with the Love Elsie line of papers. I love her stuff! It's so funky, fun, and wild! Does anyone know how I can make my card pictures bigger in blogger? I know there are three sizes they offer, but I'm wondering if there's a way around that? I want them to be bigger! The card is made up of two different patterns from the Roxie collection. I layered Quilt on top of Math Class at an angle. The star is a made from a template....I drew the star myself and then cut it out. The "You Go Girl" is a Michael's $1 stamp. And "You Rock" is from A Muse. IRL, this card has lots of bling, but it's not so noticeable in the photo. I thought this would be a great card for a girlfriend who you wanted to encourage, or for a daughter who's embarking on a new adventure!

One last tiny look at something I found at CHA this past week....Technique Tuesday is now coming out with chipboard that matches the shapes of some of their stamps, like Loves Me Loves Me Not. Their scrapbook page sample was adorable!

I can't wait to get stamping again. I think I'm going to start a new scrapbook soon too. I haven't scrapbooked in years, but I was so inspired this week by some of these awesome scrapbookers I was with that I thought I'd give it a try again. I think I'll keep it simple though....I plan on starting an 8x8 book that will concentrate on all my favorite photos that I've taken over the past few years......K.I.S.S is my motto!

Hugs to everyone. I'll drop a line a little later maybe to give you an update on Muriel's surgery.

Amy

  2. Great card, love the papers and of course that wonder $ stamp, they are fun. When I was doing my tutorial and had wanted to change the size of a picutre I would click on it and get the edit marks around it and just grab one corner and expand the picture, this worked, I only enlarged a little, you might try this don't know if it will have any distortion impact on the photo.

  4. Were you aware that SU also offers chipboard that matches some of its stamps? I have yet to invest...have to stay in the proverbial black with my stamping expenditures. Like the card though. I think that background would be so fun to color!

Thought about scrapping a book for your son with all the baseball photos you've taken? That would be easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Keep us updated on Muriel. Happy cleaning and grocery shopping...

  5. Flossie's tip works for me (thanks, Flossie, I didn't know this!). You can only grab your picture while in "edit" or "create" mode, so once you upload it, click and expand. If it won't let you expand any more, scroll down a little bit so you have only the bottom of a photo showing and try to click and expand out some more.

  6. Great card Amy! I love Elsie's stuff too.

To change the size, just click on the photo after you upload it, and drag the edges outwards. YOu can also just click on the corner and pull it too. I do this to almost every photo I post!

Also, I think the link for Inque Botique is working now. I checked them out after your post yesterday.

My fingers are crossed for Muriel's surgery...
