Stamping Top 50?

Ok, I know I shouldn't care about this, but I'm curious as to why my Stamping Top 50 logo on the side of my blog is now empty. I know this has happened to others of you out there. When I click on it it gives me an error message. Figures. Just when I was about to break 50 it goes down and now I think I have to start over! Bummer! Drop me a comment if this has happened to you and tell me what I should do. I think I probably shouldn't care....that's what I should do!!

  1. I just signed up for it a couple of weeks ago so too new to have this happen, but does this mean that I will now move ahead to #389

  2. It happened to me too Amy and I believe I either re posted it from the original email or I had to start over from scratch. I may have tried the first then forced to do the second.

  3. The same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago. I had no choice but to sign up again. My username was completely not recognized as if I never existed. It is definitely a bummer to have to start over!

  4. It's happened to me...twice. I've now given up on it! One less thing to think and obsess about, right! Sorry it's happened to you too!

  5. Me too, me too. I decided to drop it entirely and not worry about it. I found it distracted me from what my blog was really about. And, it really seemed as though it was more about advertising for them anyway.

  6. I've had it happen to and ended up reposting. Stunk too, because I was higher before. But it's not about that, right? :) LOL

  7. I think it's happened to me at least twice, maybe 3 times. If it happens again, I'm done. What a pain - they certainly aren't very tech savvy there because I know people have asked for support and not gotten any. They have to know about this problem! Sorry it happened to you, but know you are still up there in the top! :)

  8. That happened to me last month and I ended up signing up again. I was at 78 before and now have slowly climbed to 163, very frustrating. Mine went down again today and I am going to leave it alone for a couple of days to see if it resets. I did email the webmaster last time and got no response so that doesn't seem like something that helps. As I read through your comments I think I may drop it if it doesn't fix itself, it isn't worth the stress or frustration!

I don't have a blog, but I check your's daily (sometimes even twice daily)...don't worry...your readers are with you no matter what the top 50 says! and speaking from a blog surfer...we usually find new blogs when they are linked from another blog, or someone introduces a new blogger. So drop the top 50!

  11. Yes, happened here too....twice...so now I just took it off my blog. They don't respond to emails, so I figure I won't advertise for them either! It is a real bummer! Sorry you are going through it too.

Well, I don't have a blog and for those I read, I really don't care how they're rated. I read them because I like the content.

  13. Mine hasn't done this "yet" but I have heard a bunch of people say they had to start over. I figure that if mine does go wonky...I will NOT be putting it back on. I don't really pay much attention to it anyway...(but mom does) so I figure why advertise for them???

And if it is not there...then I can pretend that I am the very top right???

  14. I know when I first loaded it on my blog, I chose not have the number displayed. Then I remember an e-mail that I received shortly afterwards, about not being able to NOT have a number displayed. You were instructed to change it over, or you would be knocked off the list. I ended up displaying mine, but I'm thinking of removing it altogether. I don't know that checking on my numbers is all that good for me. Ha, ha!

Amy, your site (and wonderful work)totally ROCKS...Top 50 numbers or not!! ;)

  15. It happened to me too. When I first signed up I was at 94 and dropping. Then it went blank twice. I just posted on my blog this topic too. I am thinking it has something to do with "clear history" &/or "clear cookies". Some computers are scheduled to automatically perform clear history/cookies(i.e.temp internet files) after a certain no. of days, I am suspecting that upon clearing cookies either manually or scheduled this has something to do with the counters.

  16. And.... with the reinstall I am now at 394. Not good considering I started at 94 and it's supposed to be the stampin top 50

  17. It happened to me 2 times so I removed them. They don't help you when you e-mail them. They basically just use us all to advertise and don't offer the support/technical help that they say they do. Not worth it for me. I loved seeing my number drop too, but at least my counter never messes up like Top 50 did!!

This happened to me too!! I was at 165 or so... than all of a suddent my box was empty. I had to "sign up" again & it started me all over... boohoo. I had to start at 270. Let's hope that doesn't happen to you!!!

They also do not reply to emails. So no need to bother.

I know in the skeem of things it shouldnt' really matter... but its a fun way of knowing that people really do VISIT your blog. Thats why I like it anyway.

  19. Yep, I got as high as 121 and then it happened to me, now a second time. Not fun! I considered dropping them. They don't respond to emails, no tech support. What's a girl to do?

  20. YES! It happened to me twice! The most recent was about 2 weeks ago. I just removed it from my blog!
