I couldn't resist. I had to post one last time before we left for COP this morning. I couldn't resist perusing all my favorite blogs this morning either! What will I do without my morning fix for a whole week? I more attached to you guys than I thought I was!!!
Anyways, here's my card for Scrap Stash Saturday. It was totally and completely inspired by Linda Duke at Linda's Works of Art. She makes amazing cards, most notably her cards using Stampendous Clear Stamps. Because of her, I "had" to buy these stamps. Such the enabler, Linda. Yeah right, she really had to twist my arm alright:). Not. I typed in the credit card number all my myself, no one held a ATG glue gun to my back! Ha!
I'll make it quick. Here's my card. This is Linda's card. It was so simple, really. The stamp set is Petal Flourish by Stampendous. The set has all diffferent petals designs and sizes, and leaves too. This is a great set for scraps. I just grabbed a few coordinating ones from my drawer, stamped the petals on the paper, and cut them out. Can't get any simpler than that, can it? I used my paper piercing set to make the decorative "border", added a sentiment, and she was done. I love the simplicity of it, don't you? And it's always a plus when you can make a card using only scraps. That's what Saturdays are all about. Use up those scraps peeps. If you don't they grow and compound at a rapid rate. In no time, they will overtake your craft room and suck all the life right out of it.
Do it. Grab some scraps today and make some cards. I dare you!
Gotta run now. I want to bring some images with me to color should I have a "spare" moment up at camp. Highly unlikely, but just in case, a stamper has to always be ready, doesn't she?
Hugs to each and every one of you. I will miss you, but I am SO looking forward to the peace and serenity I will surely find being at this wonderful place. I'll take lots of pictures to share with you when I return.
