Fun Flowers

The floral paper on this card is actually from a paper pack I bought recently at Target. It's a new product for them and is from Autumn Leaves/Rhonna Farrer. They are called Adhesive Mats. There are 40 mats total in each pack with 5 different patterns. You just peel off the backing and slap it down! The pad I bought is called Shangri-La, and I love it! The colors are all so springy. Each pattern is designed with the same colors, so it's all coordinating. I guess I was really taken with the patterns in the pack, so that's why I bought it. I really didn't NEED paper with adhesive backing. My Mono Multi works just fine for adhering paper to my cards. The paper size is 4.5x6.5 just in case you wanted to know.

I kept this card really simple. The flower is a new stamp I bought recently as well from Paper Inspirations. I can't say I've ever heard of this line of stamps, but I like them! I used my markers to ink up the stamp in Certainly Celery and Bashful Blue. It's stamped on a piece of Whisper White, and matted with Bashful Blue. The sentiment, from Hero Arts, is stamped in Certainly Celery and punched out with the 1 1/4 circle punch. It's matted with Certainly Celery. The bow is polka dot green and is from Michaels.

Speaking of Hero Arts, you know they are one of my favorite stamp companies! I've been 100% pleased with every stamp I've bought from them. Up until the latest set I bought. Recently, I bought Happy Everything Greetings, which is a set of 6 small sentiments that fit perfectly anywhere and everywhere. Unfortunately, not a single one of these sentiments was placed on the block straight! I kid you not, every one of them was cock-eyed! I wrote them an email earlier this week with my complaint. They wrote me back promptly with a humble apology and an offer to immediately replace the set. No need to send in the bad set. Isn't that great? I love companies with great customer service! Now I can continue feeling great about Hero Arts because they handled the situation so well.

Well, today is the busy day of the week. I've got to get moving and cleaned up for the day. Hope you have a great one!

  2. That card is so peaceful & pretty. I really like it! What is a Mono Multi??? Looks like I may have to stop in at, Target. There is a really nice Super Target in Lafayette, IN we usually manage to stop at when traveling south... which we are doing today! :-)

  3. What a beautiful card! Love the colors! I was in Target yesterday and was surprised about what they are carrying now! They even had Sizzix dies! Primas too, and yes some really cool paper. All I walked out with though was some jumbo paper clips (thank goodness!). It's nice to know I can get that stuff there though! Good for you on the Hero Arts stamps! Does that mean you're gonna put up some cock-eyed blog candy? {wink}

  5. What an elegant, serene card. I love Hero Arts, too -- their stamps are great, and always stamp perfectly with no smears or smudges. I'm glad to hear they have good customer service.

    I'm going to have to play with these two colors!

    Went into Target last night to buy wrapping paper. Had to pass through scrapbook aisle. Picked up Shangri-La paper pack with visions of your beautiful card dancing in my head ... must ... resist. Must ... exercise ... some ... control. Whew! I survived, coming out of Target with only the wrapping paper I went in there for. Now if you would just post another blog entry so that card doesn't keep tempting me every time I open your blog! :D
