Super Sketch Sunday #6

Yep, it's that time of week again when I offer up a card sketch for you awesome gals! Some of you have been so loyal in doing the sketch, week after week. I love seeing what you come up with! Keep sharing!

Today's sketch is actually the layout I used for yesterday's scrap card (the second one). I liked it so much, I thought I'd make today's card using the same layout. It was so easy, and we love easy, don't we? Can you believe we're getting closer and closer to the end of the school year? That's why I made a graduation card. I thought I'd start planting some ideas in your heads just in case you need to start making some too. Believe it or not, I used some new Basic Grey paper on today's card, although you can't see it very well. It's from the Scarlett's Letter line, Glance. It's such a fun paper. It brought just a touch of red to the card to tie in with the Real Red cardstock. I wanted to make a graduation card geared more toward a woman, that's why I chose the Basic Grey paper. The ribbon makes it more feminine too. Notice where I put the ribbon on today's card....on yesterday's card, I used a patterned strip of cardstock for this area. Feel free to interpret the sketch however you see fit. There is no right or wrong. This is where you're able to exert your creative license!
It's another gorgeous day here in MN. It's already 50 degrees! Woo-hoo! Love it. I recently joined a new women's health club a mile from our house, so my plan today is to walk there, exercise, and then walk home! Good idea? I LOVE that it's so close. Now I have absolutely NO excuse not to exercise, although I keep finding excuses, however lame they are! I started gaining weight like a banshee once I hit my early 40s. I HATE it. Nothing fits anymore. This morning at church, I didn't even take my coat off, because my pants felt too tight and I felt so uncomfortable. Do any of you feel the same way sometimes? Ugh. I can't take it anymore. I have to work out or I have to stop eating. It's as simple as that. Once you reach 40, those are your options. If you aren't 40 yet, consider yourself warned. I'm serious. It totally sneaks up on you. Be careful!
On a separate note, I went bra shopping yesterday at Nordstrom's. Did you ever watch the Oprah show that was all about bras? Apparently, according to Oprah, MOST women are wearing the wrong bra size. Well, I figured I was wearing the wrong bra size because I've gained some weight this past year. But I figured my size should be larger than what I was currently wearing (For those of you wondering, I was blessed in this department). That's why I went to Nordstrom's. They have REAL bra fitters, they are NOT teenagers!!! Turns out, I was wearing a bra that was TOO BIG!! I went down a whole size! Has that ever happened to you in your whole life--someone telling you you are actually SMALLER than you thought you were? Praise the Lord! All kidding aside, I was amazed at the difference wearing the right bra can make! I totally looked slimmer, since more of my midsection was showing. My boobs weren't sitting down near my belly button anymore! Woo-hoo! The saleslady told me that your band needs to be tight to lift the breast Up and Out! I think the new bra contributed to my being uncomfortable at church today too....I felt like I was suffocating, the band was so much tighter than I was used to wearing! But heavens, my boobs looked good, and that's worth all the tea in China, isn't it?

  1. You are SO funny! I was not blessed in that department, but I do need all new bras. It's amazing how a good bra can make you feel. But, why are they so darn expensive?! Love the sketch today! Lisa K

You are such a hoot! I don't think they make bras any smaller than I go...and it is already too big. Oh well, I guess when I start that jogging program I keep telling myself (and everyone else) I am going to do it won't hurt so much...tee hee hee
    love the card!
