Super Sketch Sunday #5

Welcome to Super Sketch Sunday!

I'm sitting here at my computer, the sun is streaming through my studio window, and I find all is well with the world! The only thing missing is a warm, tropical vacation, and I'm sorry to say, it ain't happenin' this year!

I made this card a few days ago and thought it would be perfect to use for today's sketch! I hope you like it. It's really easy, but fun! It's got a total of 6 layers plus a sentiment and an embellishment! It's a perfect sketch to use some of those scraps you have sitting around. I used all scraps on this card, and it's not even Scrap Saturday!

Here's my process for the card:
Layer 1 & 2: Matt a 4x5.25 piece of designer paper with coordinating cardstock and attach to front of card.
Layer 3 & 4: Take a piece of 3.75x2.5 in. cardstock, stamp all over with image with matching ink, and then matt with coordinating cardstock.
Layer 5 & 6: For the main image, I took a scrap piece of Very Vanilla (1 3/4x 2 3/4) and stamped image twice. Distress image. Matt with cardstock. Tie ribbon around this layer.
Sentiment: Stamp sentiment on scrap piece, cut into rectangle, and mount onto main image with a little adhesive.
Once your layers are finished, glue it all together! My main image is attached to the front of the card with foam tape to add dimesion. Pretty easy, wasn't it? Let me know if these instructions were difficult to follow or easy to follow. I've never broken it out so simply like this before, so I'm not sure it's clear enough for everyone to follow. Sometimes when I conversationally write the instructions out, this whole post ends up too wordy and long, and I end up starting every sentence with "I". We're all about quick these days, right? I want to give you the instructions as quickly and easily as possible so you can take it and run with it!
If you're able to make your own card using the sketch this week, be sure and send me a link so I can see what you've done! I might even feature your card on my blog one day! Have a great, relaxing, fun, exciting day today!
