So Very Loved

I had some really fun black and white background paper for Valentine's that I wanted to make some cards with. The paper had "love" definitions all over it! I mounted a piece of this paper onto Pretty In Pink cardstock to begin with. My new SAB set, "So Very" hadn't been used yet, so I needed to come up with a design to use it right away! I had recently seen some fun VD cards in the SCS gallery that inspired me to give it a try! The "so very" sentiment was stamped on Whisper White cardstock, and then I stamped the heart from All About You all over the sentiment. I then stamped "loved" from So Very on a small piece of black cardstock and then trimmed it with my tiny scalloped edge scissors I got at Michaels recently. I matted the "so very" sentiment on Rose Red, and cut around that with the tiny scalloped edge scissors too. I have had this zebra ribbon sitting in my drawer for SO LONG and have been looking and looking for ways to use it. The opportunity just had not presented itself until THIS CARD, so I dug it out of the drawer and went for it! I love all kinds of animal prints, I think they add an element of surprise to whatever you use it on, and it's sort of sassy/edgy at the same time! At the bottom of the zebra ribbon, I covered a piece of circle chipboard with black polka dot paper and then mounted a heart on top of the chipboard. The heart on the chipboard is stamped in Pretty in Pink. I think this is such a different card, and I can't wait to give it to someone for Valentine's Day. It's perfect for a husband/wife, a friend, or a family member.
