Here's another Valentine's Day card that I made recently. I had a scrap left over from my square scallop punch so I thought I'd try and use it for something (nearly all our scraps can be used for SOMETHING). This time it became a "window" into my heart! Just cut around one of your scallop scraps so that you have more paper at the bottom of the window for stamping a sentiment. I layered this "window" onto some fun Basic Grey paper and then mounted the whole thing onto brown metallic cardstock. I mounted this onto the front of the card which was covered with more Basic Grey paper (love this stuff)! The final touch, besides the brown polka dot ribbon was a heart stamped in Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink right in the center of the scalloped window. It's mounted with foam tape so it jumps out of the window! I used the sentiment "My heart is with you" to tie in with the heart in the window. Adorable, another card perfect for that special guy in your life!
On a separate note, I have noticed visitors to my blog has dropped off somewhat, so I've got some of the "blogger blues" going on this morning. I need a "gimmick" to draw you all back in:)!!!! If you've got any ideas on what you'd like to see me do more of here, please leave a comment or email me directly by clicking on the link right below my photo above. I want to keep doing this, but I want Heartfelt Greetings to be a place you want to come to because it provides you not only with a laugh or two (hopefully), but because it's someplace you can really gather some useful information for your own stamping endeavors.
I am hoping to get some stamping done later today so I can post another card tonight. Have a great day!
I'm just loving these Blush papers too. Love how you created a window with your scallop punch...I think I need one of those. No blogger blues, you are doing a great job. I love seeing your work!
ReplyDeleteHi Amy. I love looking at your cards, and I read your blog just about every day. I don't always leave a comment, though, so other people may be doing the same.

Your card is gorgeous! And the Basic Grey is wonderful - I wish I could lay my hands on some of that!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I have you in my favorites, so I visit often.
If you want to "introduce" new readers to your blog, put the word on that you are doing a giveaway or do a regular feature on certain days of the week.
And visit other blogs(besides Stamping ones - I have a good group I visit that I posted about last week!)and leave comments. It takes time, but it'll happen. Just keep up the good work!
I recently found your site and have really been enjoying a visit every day! As a new blogger myself I've gotten "taken in" with all the immensely talented people out there - you included (I even added a link to your site on my blog). Keep up the great work!
