Valentine's Inspiration #4/Happy New Year

Had to get my post in a little early today as we are going out to celebrate the New Year tonight with good friends! This card was actually one of the first VD cards I made this season. Unfortunately, I don't remember who made the papers! I am not a big embosser, but I like how this one turned out.
The heart stamp is from Autumn Leaves (Hearts & Stars by Rhonna Farrer). I embossed it in shiny gold and mounted it on Pretty in Pink. The main card (Pretty in Pink), was first stamped in brown with the Paisly BG stamp. Don't know why I did that as most of it's covered up, but it does add a nice dimension to the card. The finishing touch is a polka dot organdy ribbon. See how easy that was?

I cannot believe we are closing in on the end of 2006. It has been a year with ups and downs for me and my family, which is probably true for all of us. In the next few days I am going to sit down and make a list of those things I would like to accomplish in 2007 as it relates to stamping/making cards. I think I'll make a list for my personal life too. I am not much of a list maker/goal maker, so this will be something new for me. I tend to fly by the seat of my pants most of the time! What about the rest of you? Do you make goals? Do you re-visit those goals throughout the year to see how close you are to achieving that goal? If any of you have suggestions to make this an easier process for me, send me an email!

Well, I want to wish each of you a very Happy New Year! Be safe on the roads!

Amy
