Vintage Buttons

I'm not sure exactly how long it's been since I actually posted a card on my blog, but I DO know it's been quite a while! Up until this week though, I didn't have time to stamp at all. But earlier this week I said "enough is enough" and I forced myself to sit down and make some cards. It felt wonderful! I sure do miss it.

I don't have lots of time to stamp these days, so I am focusing on cards that don't have a lot of layers and fussiness involved. As you can tell, this card fits the bill perfectly. Two different scrap papers were used, as well as some vintage buttons I had in my stash, some of which still have their original thread! I think that's so cool. If only thread could talk, what a story they might tell!

So, what's happening with all of you? From what I can tell by reading my favorite blogs, everyone is getting ready for school to be over! Eldest Son graduates in 11 days! And his graduation open house is in 13 days. So much left to get ready for that. Especially yard work. Have to have it looking spiffy for all the guests. I need to sit down and type up a "to-do" list this afternoon so I don't forget anything. And once the graduation hype is over, it will be time to head up to COP for Family Work Week. I can't wait.

Hugs,
Amy

  2. I am going to copy this card. I actually have the stamp set and my own collection of vintage buttons. I love your idea about the threads telling stories. My button collection came from my grandma so I WOULD love to hear their stories!

    Thanks for the inspiration.

Those DPs go great together Amy, and the buttons fit perfectly. I really like the sentiment that you used. Glad to hear that you found some stamping time :)
I can't wait for school to be done, sometimes I don't know whether I am coming or going. Good luck with getting everything ready for the open house.
