Dreams

In my never ending quest to use the supplies I have on hand already, I made this graduation card last weekend. I know it's not your "typical" graduation card, but Lord knows I'm not "typical". I'm one of the few of us card makers out there that luuuuvs to work with bright colors all the time. Each of these different papers were found in my scrap drawer. They are so different, though, even I am left scratching my head wondering what's gotten into me! Just kidding. I love all the colors and patterns, but I know this card isn't for the faint of heart.

We are on nearing the end of school. Eldest Son has three more days left after today, and Youngest son has 5. Graduation Day is in 5. This weekend will be a "put the pedal to the metal" weekend, finishing up the chores that need to be done to make the yard presentable, as well as running all the last minute errands yet to be completed before Graduation Day.

So much to do, and sooooo little time. I work this afternoon and then the hubby is taking me out for dinner. It's my 46th birthday today, even though it feels like I'm 91 in real life, ha. The day just doesn't hold as much sparkle for me as it has in the past. Does that just come with age? I am hoping I get more excited as the day goes by today!

Hugs,
Amy

  6. Amy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Your card is fantastic. Just enjoy the day and dinner with your hubby. I don't know if it is with age or just our daily lives that make us feel like you are because I just did on my last birthday a few months ago and I do have a few years on you.
Have a great day and take whatever you can get.

  7. beautiful card. I am one of those that has a hard time with color but you make it look effortless. I cannot believe that this school year is almost over. Happy Birthday!!! I am younger but I don't get excited about my birthday either. But I don't like to be the center of attention either.

  18. Happy Birthday Amy!!!! I turned 46 last week and felt 91 too. I think life is too busy. 46 sounds alot older than 45 to me. Did you feel that way???

I love your use of bright colors. It takes a confident person to be able to use bright colors and mix patterns. Your card is beautiful.

I'm continuing to pray for all of you as you prepare for and go through ds graduation and party.
