Stocking Ornament

Because it's going to be a really busy week, and because I don't like not posting, I typed up all my posts for the week on Sunday. They won't be very lengthy (and depending who you are, that could be a good thing), but you'll get to see lots of eye candy this week, and I know you love that!

I made this little stocking ornament from a pattern I found in a craft magazine. It's made with Basic Grey x-mas paper and is sewn on the sides so I can slip a little something in it for someone special. The lace/ribbon near the top of the stocking is actually vintage. Many of the cards I'm sharing this week have a vintage "something" on it, whether it's ribbon or buttons. I recently got all of my late MIL's buttons.....she had quite a boatload and many still had the old thread in them. I love that. It makes me wonder about the history of those little buttons, KWIM?

The sentiment is from Hero Arts, which I bought last year. I strung a little silver bell onto the red cording that holds the ornament, so it jingles when you move it. The glittered snowflake is from K & Company.

I can imagine making up a whole slew of these adorable stockings holiday gifts for my special friends. This one is has a Dove chocolate bar in it....yum!

Hugs,
Amy
