By the time you read this Friday morning, I'll be on my way to the hospital for my mom's surgery. She is having her hip replaced. She had the other one done about 15 years ago. I am a little nervous about this surgery as it has some complications attached to it due to her heart issues. I am putting her into God's hands. I am praying for peace and comfort for her, wisdom, discernment, and confidence for her surgeon, and for no complications to occur. And of course, for quick healing.
I would also like to put a request out there for additional prayers for my BIL Ken, who is battling lung cancer. We just found out a few days ago that the tumors in the lung have gotten 10-20% larger. He will now begin an experimental drug program at the cancer clinic he goes to in Fairfax, VA.
