Gobble, Gobble

Sorry for the quality of this picture....I think it's slightly overexposed!

This past weekend, I needed to make a whole bunch of Thanksgiving cards for an order I had received, but I was running out of ideas. I searched the SCS gallery to come up with something I could sink my teeth into creatively.

All the little turkey's I saw in the gallery were soooo cute, so I decided to make one for myself, using punches and a stamp set from Technique Tuesday. It seems like it's been years since I used the TT stamp set! It's called Loves Me and is a set with individual flower petals you can use to make your own flowers. Instead of flowers, I made turkey feathers! I used Real Red, Kiwi Kiss, Elegant Eggplant, and More Mustard for my feathers. The turkey feet were made from a Cuttlebug die from one of my alphabet die sets. It was actually a flower, but I just cut apart the flower to make pointy turkey feet! Makes sense, right? Hmmmmm......

Anyways, it was a fun card to make. Unfortunately, I did NOT get a lot of cards make this weekend. I was pretty lazy and unmotivated to sit for very long making cards. My mojo seems to be on leave lately, so if you've seen it somewhere, tell it it's time to get back to work! I plan on trying to participate more in challenges just to try and get the mojo flowin' again.

Today I have a second interview at the LifeWellness Center. Wish me luck. Doug has a few things in the fire, along with the freelance football games he's been doing. Other than that, all is well on the Westerman front. I hope you all have a great day!

Hugs,
Amy

  12. Too cute, love your turkey! Keep your chin up with regard to the job searching. Something will work out soon. . .keeping you in my prayers. You've probably already noticed this yourself, but I saw a great comment about your wonderful creativity with DP on another blog yesterday. You're "The Bestest" when it comes to creating cards with DP and that is what drew me to your blog. CHEERS!
