Birds, birds, and more birds.

See, I told you I've got a thing for birds lately.

Same bird as yesterday, just in a different paper pattern and different layout!

I love this designer paper from My Mind's Eye. The colors are right up my ally. The "Notes" paper came from Fancy Pants. I aged and distressed it, and then stamped some floral images on it from the CHF set called Silhouettes Blossoms I. I love this set and turn to it time and time again. The sentiment is also from CHF and is called Motivational Centers (Mona Lisa).

The little bird was cut out from a coordinating My Mind's Eye paper. The ribbon is from Ribbon's and Boys Oh My!. It is a brown taffeta gingham checked ribbon (3/8 inch). I have this same gingham in many, many different colors because I love it so much! I actually need to stock up on more because I'm running out. If you are interested in it for yourself, here is the link to the gingham. It comes in a million colors and is CHEAP!!! You aren't going to find anything better out there than this one at Ribbons and Bows Oh My!

I know today is supposed to be Real Recipe Day. I forgot all about it until this morning as I was getting ready to write this post up. Ack! So now I have to decide which recipe I want to share with you. I think I'm close to figuring it out. I just need to remember if I've written it down somewhere or if I have to go to my DVR and get it off a cooking program I saved. I don't know about you, but my hubby and I watch America's Test Kitchen every Saturday (PBS). They have some of the most amazing recipes EVER!!! So be on the lookout for a fabulous one pan baked ziti recipe later today, OK?

Have a great day!

Hugs,
Amy

  2. This is gorgeous, Amy! I just LOVE when you take the "lined paper" type of background and stamp silhouettes and sentiments on it. I've wanted to do it since the first card I saw you make like this, but I haven't done one yet! Thanks for inspiring me again!
