Snowflakes and Butterflies

Even though it's 70 and GORGEOUS here today, I'm going to go out on a limb to share a snowflake card with you! I can barely get that "s" word out of my mouth because I know soon enough it will be here covering the ground and trees. From here on out in this post, I'll refer to them as "s"flakes:)!

Guess what? I have found a new favorite "s"flake set! That's right, this Hero Arts clear stamp set called Winter's Butterfly is my new "go to" set when it comes to winter themed cards. The large "s"flake found in this set is SOOOO cool and so hip as far as "s"flakes go. I love that it looks like branches make up the "s"flake!

I started out with a Kraft card base and stamped it with the multiple snowflake image, all the way around the outer edges of the base. I used Whisper White craft ink. Then I took another piece of Kraft cardstock, cut it to size and then whisked it through my Cuttlebug Swiss Dot folder. The large "s"flake was stamped on a piece of acetate with white Stazon. I then laid it over the Cuttlebug layer and sewed around it to adhere it to the layer. You can't see it in this picture, but before I punched the butterflies out, I first stamped one of the "s"flake images in Versamark and sprinkled very fine glitter over it. Then I punched out the butterflies!

Such a fun, fun card. I can't wait to do so much more with this set! If you want this Hero Arts set for yourself, head on over to see Michelle at Stamper's Dream. She'll take care of you lickity-split and have you ready to stamp some "s"flakes real soon!

Hugs,
Amy
