Peas On Earth

I fell in love with this World Peas stamp from Penny Black the first time I laid eyes on it! I got it from Stamper's Dream.

I went all out and decided to paper piece the earth AND the peas! Yikes. It was a little putzy, but oh, it turned out so adorable. These photos don't do the card justice.

I found a piece of blue scrap designer paper to stamp and cut my earth from. Then I stamped the image again on a bright green designer scrap for the green part of the earth. This is where the putzy stuff came in. Those continents are small! But, I managed to stay focused and eventually got them all cut out and glued on to the blue paper. After cutting the peas out, I mounted them onto the main image with dimensionals. I colored their hats with my Copics.

A little bit of straight stitch sewing and a beautiful ribbon finished the card off perfectly! If you like this card, be sure and come back tomorrow to see the other card I made using this fabulous stamp!

Well, I don't have a lot of time to chit chat today. I have BSF this morning, so I need to jump in the shower and get ready. Then I have a business lunch, and then tonight the boys have choir and Hubby and I are going out to eat with his sister and BIL and dad. Have a grea day!

Hugs,
Amy

Are you leading a group at BSF again this year? Wish I could got this year, but it doesn't work with my son's kindergarten drop off time....

  8. oh how hilarious and how cute! this immediately made me think of jean claude the pea from veggie tales. are your boys too old for that series of Bible stories told by animated vegetables?

hope you have had a fun day. sometimes, it's just getting past the shower that takes the most effort!

  11. Well this is just the cutest card I've seen in ages. I have a stuffed "peas in a pod" toy and this reminds me of it. Very fun card.
