One year ago today, we unexpectedly lost Muriel Jean Westerman (my MIL) at age 73. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. In honor of Muriel, I dedicate this blog post to her. She was a little spitfire, a fabulous cook, and a loving woman. We have missed her so much this past year, it's hard to believe she's been gone that long. However, we are comforted knowing that we will one day meet her again in the Kingdom of Heaven, and when we do....we will have a great big party and eat Roast Beef and Yorkshire Pudding!!!! This was one of Muriel's specialties, and I was always requesting that she make it for us during the holidays! Here is a photo of Karl, Muriel, Jayne (my husband's sister) and Doug in December 2005.

In Loving Memory....
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sun on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
We miss you Muriel!
With Love,
Karl
