K.I.S.S (Keepin' It Soooo Simple) Saturdays

It's another K.I.S.S Saturday!

I made this card a few weeks ago just to use up some of my scraps. My scrap drawer is seriously overflowing, and I'm afraid I'm going to have to throw some scraps out soon if I don't get control of them pronto. It's seriously on the verge of not closing! But I just can't bear to throw beautiful, usable scraps away, can you? Well, if the same is true for you, today's card comes at just the right time.

You need nothing more than a square punch, a CB (althought that isn't really a necessity for this card), a scallop circle punch, and two regular circle punches. Oh, and can't forget adhesive, can we?

The first thing I did was CT my card base using the Swiss Dot folder. It always adds just the right amount of umph, doesn't it?

Then I punched out 6 squares, using a different paper for each. I found another scrap piece of paper, for the long strip in the middle of the card, that coordinated with all the other papers. To make it all work, I just fiddled around with the layout of the squares so it was even on all sides, then laid the vertical strip in the middle. Glue all the squares down. Choose your sentiment, punch it out. Punch a coordinating mat to go underneath the sentiment, and then punch out your scalloped circle in yet another coordinating cardstock. I used a Nestie for my scallop.

That's all there is to it. What a great card for using up those scraps, uh? Easy Peasy!

Hugs,
Amy

This is so cute! I could see it on the pages of a stamping/cardmaking magazine. Love it!

I love the card made with scrap paper.

I gather the extra items together and offer them to the Special Education class at the local elementary school. Any art supplies are appreciated because of their limited budget.
