A Verve Diva Challenge

This past week, over at the Verve SCS forum, Shannan is the Verve Diva of the week! Actually, every Thursday, for the next few months, we'll showcase a design team Diva so you can get to know all of us just a little bit better. In addition to being able to get to know the diva's a little better, you can also participate in a challenge of the Diva's choosing. Last week, Shannan posted a color challenge, using Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, and Chocolate Chip. Aren't those yummy colors? Well, I finally got a card made for her challenge! Leave it to me to wait till the last minute. But I'm oh so glad I decided to make a card using these colors, cuz I think it's my new favorite mix!

I love, love, love how the card turned out. It was my vision, and I'm happy to say, for once, the vision panned out. There are many times it doesn't, and I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talkin' about, don't you. We have a vision and the card ends up taking a completely different direction. Not on this baby. It was smooth sailing from the git-go.

Do you want to know how many different Verve sets I used on this card? It was a personal challenge for me to try and use as many as I could without it turning ugly!!!! Did you try and figure it out? Well.......in case you have no clue, there are SIX different Verve sets used on this card!!!!! Ha! A personal best! That's right, six. And it's not ugly! Goal accomplished. Just beware that this just possibly might be what my challenge is going to be when I'm Verve Diva of the Week!!!! Beware, cuz you know me, I love to put a tough challenge out there!

Here are the sets I used.....Filigree Fantasy on the bottom. The sentiment on the bottom is Thoughtful Florals. The brown layer is Fancy Florals Remixed. The green layer is Asian Flair and Feeling Groovy, and the top layer is Thankful Blossoms! Yowza! This was so much fun to try!!! I hope you like it too!

Well, it's this handsome dude's 17th birthday today!Happy Birthday Handsome Guy! I cannot believe he's 17 years old as of today. It seems like yesterday I gave birthday to him on a hot, hazy Sunday morning (after two days of labor I might add!)

He is such a great kid, I am so proud of Eric, who he is now, and who I know he'll be in the future. He's got a good head on his shoulders, he's kind, polite, and has a great sense of humor! That's a must in this family! Happy Birthday baby! We love you so much!

Hugs,
Amy
