Today is my day over at the Verve blog! For over a week, the Verve Diva's have been doin' their "thang" and showing you some gorgeous ATC cards for the Verve ATC Challenge. Want to see more? Head on over to the Verve blog!
I have to be honest, I've done exactly 3 of these little guys in my short lifetime, this one being the 3rd! I've had an aversion to them because they're as much work as a standard sized card! I'm sure it will come as no surprise to you that just the thought of making inchies give me hives!
I'm not going to give you all the details about my card here, so be sure and head over to the Verve blog after you're finished reading my post for today, ok? And there's a surprise over there for you too....see what I did with my ATC after I was finished making it.....this photo is a little sneak peek for you!!
You can make your own ATC for the Verve challenge and win some Verve bucks ($15 to be exact). Check out this post for more details on what you have to do to win. The contest is open until noon (Eastern time) on July 31st, so there's still time for you to shrink your "thang" ATC style!
On the homefront, it's been a little quiet here. In fact, I'm by myself and bored silly. I know, I know, I should be relishing in my peaceful home, but I'm not. When I need my space from everyone, 4 or 5 hours will do me good. 2 or 3 days is a bit much. Doug is out in Fairfax, VA, Oldest Son is still at camp (I pick him up tonight at 630p, yea!!!), and Youngest Son went to Jellystone Park (near the WI Dells) with my girlfriend's family. He left Saturday afternoon, so I've been alone for a day and a half. Boring! I haven't gotten much stamping done either. It seemed like most of the time I was heading over to my neighbor's house to let their dog out three times a day! And of course, I couldn't just let her out and then throw her back in right away. I felt I should let her hang for a while and play outside. I must mention that this dog, Chelsey, is my dog Copper's girlfriend. Chelsey is a cockapoo, Copper is a purebred poodle. For fun, I enlisted their help for a little doggy photo session yesterday! Here's what I was able to capture. These are SOOC (straight out of the camera) shots that have not been edited yet.
The first two are of my little guy...isn't he adorable? He was soooooo intent on what was going on around the neighborhood!
The next two shots are of Chelsey....isn't she a cutie? And here is the lone shot that turned out of the two of them together. It's nearly impossible to get the two of them together, because they both like their "space". I had to use a stern voice with them to get them to "stay" for this picture!
Hope you like the pups! Don't forget to head over to the Verve blog now to see my ATC!
