K.I.S.S (Keepin' It Soooo Simple) Saturdays

Can you believe as I was browsing through my blogs this morning that I ran across two different blogs with features on Saturdays called Simply Saturdays? Obviously, since I just started this "original" feature last week, I'm the one horning in on the parade. So.....I'm changing the name of my Saturday feature to be K.I.S.S...."Keepin' It Sooooo Simple"! What do you think? Same premise (easy peasy cards), just a different name. I like it! It's a bit more snazzy than Simply Saturdays was!

Today's card could easily qualify for my old Saturday feature called Scrap Stash Saturdays, because all the paper used were scraps (and this one uses 6 different scraps!!). It's a little simpler than those Scrap Stash Saturday cards typically were, and I didn't pick these with my eyes shut, LOL. But, we're sticking with Simple on Saturdays, so I'm moving on....

This card couldn't have been any simpler. Now, I know it doesn't have a big WOW factor to it, but sometimes, you just don't have time for WOW! And don't fret, this could easily be taken up a notch so it did qualify as a WOW card. You could use your Janome Sew-Mini and stitch around each square. You could mat each square with cardstock. You could put a stamped, colored image in each square. The options go on, and on, and on. But I was Keepin' It Sooo Simple for today.

It's a nice change of pace to make a simple card, ya know? It takes the pressure off once in a while. And this particular card helps you use up those scraps threatening to overtake you. That's always a good thing. I am definitely going to make some more of these cards!

I had a GREAT time golfing yesterday. Unfortunately, I stunk. But the good news is, outside of one guy (hey Oli!), the other two guys stunk as much as me (sorry Jason and Mark)! I'm so glad it wasn't about the golf, it was about having a great time on a beautiful afternoon! And beautiful it was! Wow! The golf was really slow, and then we had a banquet afterward, so I didn't get home until 7-ish. The loooong 18 holes combined with the sun and heat, I was one tired chicky last night. I checked my emails, and then laid my sorry butt down on the couch. I could barely move, and barely keep my eyes open. I went to bed at 10p and woke up at 7am this morning, which is LATE for me. I think it will be a loooong day today trying to recover. That will be easy to do at our friend's pig roast this afternoon. It's another beautiful day, so that will be fun. Then it's Neil and me tonight ladies (Neil Diamond)! Don't be jealous, LOL!!!! I can't wait!

Ok, that's enough posting for today. It's supposed to be simple on Saturdays, right? Right. I'm heading upstairs now to read the paper and have some cereal. I'm starving.

Hugs,
Amy
