No time to really chit chat today. We've got a baseball tournament, our first game is at 103oam this morning. So, I need to jump in the shower and get things moving for the day. I went Nordic walking this morning...has anyone ever tried it? Nordic walking is also known as ski walking, pole walking, or fitness walking, and involves walking with modified ski poles! Yep, I'm walking the neigborhood with ski poles in my hand! Today was my second day of walking with the poles and I LOVE it! What a great workout. It takes some getting used to, but my word my butt and hips felt the pain yesterday! The poles provide you with an upper body/whole body workout that you are unable to achieve by walking alone. Be sure to check out the link above if this is something that interests you.
I know this card is a little "out there". When I received the sentiment from Michelle at Stamper's Dream, I wasn't quite sure how I would use it. Finally, it came to me. I would use my two new Changito stamps, the golfer and the baseball player, put them together on the same card, and then use the sentiment to tie the whole thing together....the message here is we can be friends no matter what our likes/dislikes are...we can share the special moments in life together, doing what we love, no matter what. I know, it's a stretch, but I really like how this card turned out. Call me goofy. I need to come up with some other clever sentiments to use with these two guys!
Well, that's about it for today....it's time to go get beautiful. The storm clouds are heading it....just what I wanted to do, watch baseball in the rain. Oh well, toodle-loo!
Hugs,
Amy

No, I've never tried Nordic walking, though I've heard of it. I don't need to be any more sore than I am now - I've been using small weights & my arms are SO sore! Hope your walking becomes something you use a lot. I think it would be great! Enjoy the game, even if it is raining - those days go by so quickly & are soon gone (I know!) Have a blessed day!!!
ReplyDeleteNot only have I heard about Nordic Walking and graqb my poles for a daily Nordic Walk, but I have written a book on the topic (to be published in a couple of months) but I maintain a blog at http://nordic-walking-usa.blogspot.com with all sorts of information for beginning and experienced Nordic Walkers. Please visit.
