The Camera is at the Hospital

Ok, the camera is finally in the shop. I brought it in yesterday to have the sensor cleaned, so I am without it for 3-5 days! I feel like one of my appendages is missing! I use that baby almost every day, and now that I don't have it I feel nekid (or naked for those of you who might worry I don't know how to spell:)). So, I'm going to be digging into my card archives for something to show you while the camera is at the hospital. It's either that or just disappear for a while. I figured you'd rather I show up with SOMETHING every day instead of nothing at all!

So, here's another photo card I made when I was on my big photo card kick a few weeks ago. Actually, I just reordered a whole bunch more photos from Sam's Club to make more photo cards. They are so easy!

When I was out in VA, I took tons of pictures of my Jayne's backyard and her friend Kathie's backyard. They turned out beautiful, so I got prints of some of those developed to make cards with as well. I can't wait to see what I can come up with using the shots I took. Here are a few of the ones I made copies of to make cards with....

Aren't they puuurty? I can't wait to get busy. I haven't been doing a whole lot of stamping lately, but I have done a little bit.....I hope to get lots of stamping done this weekend, because, really, we have nothing planned. Well, nothing big. Tomorrow we are going over to my FIL's house to help him get some stuff done to get it ready to sell. My job will be stripping the wallpaper in the bathroom and picking out paint for it. My hubby will be working in the yard getting it ready to plant. My MIL had a fabulous flower bed surrounding the deck that she always used to plant with impatiens. This is the first spring she is gone, so we thought we'd go over there and plant them for my FIL. Actually, I was the one who typically planted them the past few years anyways since it was hard for Muriel to do the planting anymore.

On Sunday, we are having our friends the Gonsior's over for dinner. Their names are Mike and Sue. It's Mike's birthday on Monday (the 26th) and mine on the 29th, so we get together every year to celebrate. This year is really weird though, because 9 times out of 10 my birthday is celebrated on Memorial Day weekend, but not this year! It feels really funny not to be celebrating my birthday on the actual holiday weekend this year. Instead, I get to celebrate my birthday on Thursday, in the middle of the week, just like any other day of the year. I know most people celebrate their birthdays on "normal" days of the year, but not me--I always got a three day weekend for my birthday celebration! I've been spoiled! That's ok. Instead of having it be all about me on my actual birthday (I say this tongue in cheek, truly), I get to run around town chauffeuring my kids to drs appts, and then spend the evening at Youngest Son's choir concert! Many years ago, Oldest Son had a choir concert on Youngest Son's birthday (May 15th) . The choir teacher was so sweet and presented a cupcake to all the birthdays that were being celebrated that day, and she gave one to Youngest Son! He was SOOOOOO tickled and everyone sang happy birthday to him! I told Youngest Son the other day that I hope his choir teacher this year presents me with a cupcake for my birthday since I'll be celebrating it with his choir!!!!!! He thought that would be pretty cool! Anyways, here are a few pictures...one is of our friend's Mike and Sue, and the other one is a picture of Mike and I blowing out our birthday candles last year! Happy Birthday Big Mike! Love you!
