Anyone know why today's card might have been removed from the SCS gallery? I uploaded it this morning, got some comments, came home from an errand, and then it was gone! What's up?

My card was removed from the SCS gallery!!!

Amy, this has happened to me before. It was because my file name (not the upload name) was the same as one I had uploaded before so their system deletes it thinking it is a duplicate.
ReplyDeleteYep, it happens quite a bit. If you're filename isn't unique and someone else uses that same filename it will write over yours and delete your photo.
ReplyDeleteAmy, happiness blooms is right. . . and julee's kinda right. :) What you want to make sure is that your file name is different from any other file you've uploaded. That's what our server looks at - the actual file names on your computer, not the title that shows up under your image in the gallery. You can check the thread sticked at the top of Site Suggestions that's something like "Are your uploads disappearing?" - but I've already summarized it for ya!

ReplyDeletethe same thing has happened to me and I honestly think there is a problem with the site because last week I had another one disappear also and I know the file name was not a duplicate. That was my 3rd to disappear within 3 weeks!
