You Guys Are Great!!!!

I'm sitting here in the Marriott in Rochester, MN reading all the wonderful comments you all have left me. Thank you so much for your love and support. I am not sitting here crying in my milk, I just wanted you all to know that. The comment yesterday had me feeling sad for a little while, but after a short while, I realized it for what it was. For a minute I thought this was God trying to tell me something. But then I realized God would NEVER try and teach me something in such a mean, hurtful way. This is Satan's doing. Always trying to cast doubt in the mind of a believer!

He loves me and that's all that matters! You guys are the best--dont' worry, I'll be back sometime this week with a recap of our weekend! We are having a great time. We lost our first game and then won our second. Now we are passing the time by until we play again at 645pm tonight. Yikes.

I bought a few Copics at Hobby Lobby today (by the way, in case you are all wondering where I got the money to buy the markers....I use the money I make from the sale of my cards and reinvest it into supplies for card making. I promise, NO money came from the family checkbook, God forbid). I had stamped a few images before I left, so I've been having some fun practicing how to color with them! I definitely need some lessons!

Hugs to you all!
Amy

Amy, you do not have to justify your spending to us or anyone (except maybe hubby! LOL). I am sure stamping helps you relax, as it does for most of us.

Amy, you don't owe anyone an explanation of how or why you buy anything you choose to buy. It's no one's business. You don't have to justify any part of your life or your emotions or what you are going through either. All of our lives are journeys we take and along the way, we all need encouragement. You reap what you sow. If you sow encouragement, you will reap it. You are sowing faith and trust in God and you will reap that reward!

  3. I've been nursing a cold, so I didn't see that incredibly rude comment until just now.

I think this quote might apply:

'You can't change the way other people behave; you can only change how you react to their behavior.'

Did you know you can use those 40% off coupons on your COPICS from HL...they help a lot!

  5. I love your blog and can not believe anyone would write what they did. God loves you and so does your family. We all have good and bad days/times, etc. You do not have to explain yourself to anyone. Have a wonderful blessed day.

    Oh Amy,
I'm sorry that someone made that comment. That is mean-spirited. Try to keep in mind that for every one bad apple, there are a hundred of us that enjoy your blog and think of you as a friend.

And, your hubby will find the perfect position for him and you will be much happier. Your husband didn't get that job because it was the wrong job. The right one will come. Hang in there. You're in my prayers.

  10. Hi Amy...wow, after reading this I have to say that I don't know what it's all about as I haven't had time lately to browse blogs for over a week. But I'm saying a little prayer for you right now and will continue. Hurt feelings can take such a toll. You are such a sweet person Amy. Wishing you nothing but good things!! which brings me to Your New COPICS!! :) YEA!! :) Take care. {{HUGS}}

  11. Oh, gosh....I just read your previous post. Rest assured, IT'S NOT YOU!! This person desperately needs to take a break from blurfing -- seems she's taking out all her frustrations on an underserving (and wonderful) person. Chin up my friend. You have so many supporters out here--don't let one "off her rocker" get to you, lol. Hope you're having fun and your son is WINNING those games!! :) CiaĆ³!!

  12. MOST all of stampers are on a budget for their craft and do things "on the side" to "support our habit" teeheehee! Didn't even think to consider this an issue!

  13. Hope you are enjoying your little time away from home...even if it is busy! Anxious to see what you think of the Copics and to see your creations!

  14. I am so sorry you felt the need to justify your spending! I do the same thing by the way! I was able to order a bind it all with proceeds from selling handmade cards. It's amazing how taking the time to invest in what we love can be so benificial and self sustaining at times.

So glad to see you are able to move past a negative comment, they are discouraging, yes but not worth the heartache. Hang in there!

  15. I'm sorry that you received such an aweful post...I too have been on the receiving end of a very rude and what I would call hateful post, and my reply to this person was to be sweet and grateful for her comment...remember that it's so much fun to "kill 'em with kindness". I never heard back from her, nor do I know if she even read my reply, but I feel better about answering her. I'm sure she wasn't expecting such a kind response from me...lol

God bless you hon, and don't let those who seek to bring you down, do it!

SO glad you got your Copics!!! They do take some practice, and hopefully you got the colorless blender, too. . . you have to work with them while it's still wet, so work quickly to blend! I'm still a novice, but I marvel at what the pros do!!!
Hope you have a wonderful time today. :D

Amy: Hope you're having a great weekend and that your son and his team win, win, win! You don't owe anyone an explanation re: money. That's totally your private business. Imagine someone accusing you of wasteful spending or whatever she was getting at. She needs to get a life and get out of yours. Chin up! Lynn

  18. Amy,
I just read that nasty comment.....it is so untrue! I have never felt that you are anything but upbeat. I love your blog and think you are the best! And I agree with you, if someone is bold enough to leave an opinion like that, then be bold enough to leave her name! Hugs to you!

  19. oh no sweet Amy--I just read your last posts and my heart just hurt for you.

Do not for one moment take what that one commentor said to heart. You are in your own space and can write about whatever you want to. You have no idea HOW MANY people you have helped by sharing your stories AND Struggles. I am one of those people. I always get a nice dose of "what is really important" when I come here and I love that about you.

Do not change. Sending you big hugs!

  20. Everyone needs to say a prayer for that person, because obviously they are in desperate need right now. You are wonderful & I LOVE your blog!

  21. I must have missed the verse that said let's judge one another. I think you're absolutely right for putting the post in it's place (file 13) and moving onward.
    Keep shinin' on!

  22. Hi Amy,
I've read your blog for several months, but have never left a comment before today. Many people know that our crafts and our blog are a kind of "therapy". You venting to us, who are here to support you and pray for you, is a way to get things off your chest so you can "release it" and move forward.

No one is making us come to your blog and read what you have to say. If she is tired of reading it, then just stop. Obviously, many of us keep coming back....so keep up the good work and ignore the unkind ones (maybe she's having a life crisis of her own and being rude to you was her way of making herself feel better.)

  23. Hey Amy, I'm glad you found your markers. I'm still working on figuring them out myself. I've actually made a couple of cards that I've actually shared publicly at this point. I think I need a few more colors. Can't wait to see what you're working on.

  24. Amy, I am so far behind in my blog reading, but I just now saw Friday's post. I can't tell you how appalled I am at that person's remarks! Good for you for keeping your chin up.

Now....go buy some more Copics, and please don't feel that you have to justify that to anyone!

  25. Hi Amy,

I came over to say "hi" because you left me such a sweet comment. First of all, your blog layout is really cute, I believe it's changed since the last time I popped over.

But man alive, I can't believe someone would leave a comment like that for another person. I'm very happy to read that you aren't taking it personally and instead focusing on all the love that you have.

And I don't think anyone should feel that they need to explain where their crafting supplies come from.

Go have some fun with your Copics!

    BIG hugs!!!!!

  26. Amy, thanks for stopping by! And for your kind words...I've decided that I am not going to let it bother me, I know and those that know me at all know, that my son is Everything to me and I know that I am good Mom...that is all the matters, right?

Hope no one has to feel the sting of a strangers venom again!!! {{HUGS}} Thanks!
