This card was made with one of Verve's newest stamp sets--Thankful Blossoms. It was released a few days ago (Saturday), and is now available for you to purchase. Julee has another special going on this month over at Verve....here are the deets:
Free shipping on orders over $40!
and......
If you buy all 3 new sets (Thankful Blossoms, Easter Elegance, & Anniversary Birds), you pay only $45, versus $54 if you buy all three separately at a later date! You gotta love that!
I totally love Thankful Blossoms because it has a flower in the set that can be colored in with markers (I should know, I've been practicing with my new Copics on it, although I did NOT color the flower on this card with Copics), AND, you can stamp it on designer paper so it can be paper pieced as well. I haven't tried that yet, but you know I will be soon!
I am getting ready to head out to a different leadership meeting today--I can't make MY leadership meeting tomorrow so I had to find a different one to attend. Last Friday (the infamous comment day), I found out my mom needs to have ANOTHER angiogram (she just had one in Sept and had two stents put in at that point). Unfortunately, she had not been feeling any better after the stents; she was still having trouble breathing, so she finally went in to the cardiologist and said "something isn't right!!!". They had her do a stress test and discovered that half her heart isn't getting enough blood...SOOOOO....back to the surgery room she goes, tomorrow. They are preparing her for the possibility she will need a bypass, although they would NOT do that tomorrow. They would close her up and then she would consult with the drs before they would do the bypass. Please keep her in your prayers. Her name is Pat. I will let you know tomorrow how it all goes!
Hugs,
Amy
I love your impeccable taste of colors... Hope your mom get well soon.
ReplyDeleteAmy, I'm sorry to hear about your mom. HUGS and PRAYERS!!! I hope she is feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteAmy,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your update on your Mom, and on the weekend that you had. After reading todays blog I read the unfortunate post by a sorry soul made to you last week. You perserverd through that comment, and didn't look back. There are days that people love to get into our space and try really make things hard for us..... you didn't let that happen to you, and for that I am so very PROUD of you. The comment about you spending is rediculous, and the way in which you spend your money is your business, not hers and you should not have to justify to anyone in the manner you spend. You are going through so much, and if a $20.00 set of markers is going to be a bright spot in your day, so be it. I looked and you have had over 200,000 visitors to this site, and what an inpiration you are to people! PTL for you, and your inspiration that you bring others.... daily when you are going through so much yourself. I have to be honest, that comment made me upset, and that person who posted it, should NOT visit this site again. She needs to go somewhere else, and really take a hard look at her own life, and ask herself why she is making hurtful commnets to others. I'm sure she is a very sad soul. Amy, you are a remarkable women of God, and reading your blogs just brightens my day. On the days that I read and you are having a hard day, it just reminds me to pray for you, and your family. You just keep on blogging and saying what you feel, because there are SO many of us here that love and support you with all our little hearts put together..... We all want to know to what is happening with you and your family. We have been reading your story for months, and please don't let one stupid comment keep you from saying, through words on a blog what you are feeling. Love you, Sharon
Love the colours Amy.
ReplyDeleteGood luck to your Mum. My father had 2 stent's put in last October with the view that he may need another one, possible two put in at a later date. Thankfully, he is doing much better and I pray your mum will do as well.
