Hello!

I'm back...semi-refreshed and ready to roll!
I had a wonderful week off. It felt great not to stress about posting. It's amazing how easy it is to let the blog take over your life and become #1 on the list of things to do everyday!
This is a prayer journal I made form my SIL to give to her for hosting Easter Sunday dinner. I loved how it turned out and I can guarantee you I'll be making myself one just like it in the coming days. The colors are totally "me". I am definitely in need of a journal that I can use to write down prayer requests. I can't keep them all straight in my head anymore, so it's time to get them written down somewhere so I can give my mind a break once in a while!

The paper is from My Mind's Eye, their Bohemia line. The stamps I used in creation of the journal are Everyday Blessings by PTI, and the bible verse underneath the PTI cross is from Stampabilities. The little mini gift card I made to go with the journal uses stamps from Mixed Messages by PTI. I made three separate sections within the journal. One to write prayer requests down for family members, one section to write prayer requests for friends, and a final section my SIL can use to write down special scripture verses.
I gave it to her yesterday at my family's Easter gathering, and she was truly touched. She had just mentioned to my brother that she had so many families to pray for at church that she needed someplace to write them down. God answered her prayers through me! I love how He works!
Hugs,
Amy

  3. Amy, first of all welcome back! The journal is so precious and so beautiful ... And yes, the card is wonderful too. You've givin me a great idea. I take a spiral journal to church each week so that I can take notes during the sermon and to write down prayer requests too. But sheesh this artist here never thought to pretty up her little journal (what a shame becuase I've embellished just about every other journal that has crossed my path!). Perhaps its becasue this journal is just for me and other journals tend to be given as gifts. Regardless I need to pretty it up. Plus making a tab divider for the prayers and the sermons to be in sections would be a great help for me. So glad your back and thanks for the inspiration too!!

This is beautiful Amy! I'm glad you are back posting in your blog. I think you should focus on the supportive people who enjoy your creativity and understand your struggles and not let other people upset you. It would be better to have 1 supportive, friendly blog reader than 100 people who drift by looking at cards. Despite the fact that blogging makes creativity look competitive, there are other things in life besides stamping (gasp!!) LOL

  6. I am encouraged by your faith Amy, and inspired with your creations on a regular basis. I know that you and your family will come through these tough times, the Lord won't give you more than you can handle.
I check your blog daily (rarely comment) and love seeing your work.

  21. love this prayer journal. Tracking those prayer requests is a great idea since you can see how God answers them too! We are such a NOW society, but when we look back it's so cool to see how God answered our prayers and to see Him working because he is not so much a NOW God. He sure works wonders over the course of years though. Just speaking for myself anyway.
