A Busy Wednesday

Wow, what a busy day I had yesterday. Wednesdays are typically a bust as far as posting goes. That's the day I do my BSF "thang", and yesterday I threw in lunch with a girlfriend and allergy shots to the mix. And last night was Ash Wednesday services at church, which Eldest Son had to sing at and Youngest Son had to attend for confirmation credit. So, posting was the last thing on my mind!

I did, however, make this funky, retro, 60's pychodelic card a few days ago using the new Verve releases called Thoughtful Florals and Fancy Florals Remix! Put on your sunglasses to look at this one baby! There actually isn't a ton of stamping on the card. I did however, stamp the horizontal strip at the bottom with the tiny floral stamps from Thoughtful Florals and the big flower on the left from Fancy Florals Remix. The sentiment is from Thoughtful Florals as well. The paper is from Basic Grey, the Two Scoops collection.

Surprisingly, I'm not really super fond of this paper. I think it's too pastelly for my liking. But, I had bought a few sheets of it a while ago and decided it was time to drag it out. I think it's perfect for Easter cards!

If you want these new Verve sets for yourself, they officially go on sale on 2/10, but Julee's taking pre-orders NOW! The other good news is that Julee is offering 15% off all stamps sets the month of February, including the newest sets! AND, if you spend over $40, she'll ship your order for FREE (both in the US and Canada). How can you turn an offer like that down? Stop over to the Verve store today to check things out, ok? You won't be sorry you did!

I hope you all have a great day today! Hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with some fun new cards!

Hugs,
Amy

  1. Hi Amy! I've had a hard time getting into the pinks and yellows in Two Scoops myself. I'm all over the blues, but I think I'm just not into the combo of pink & yellow. I love you made the band across the layout look like patterned paper. Oh, and I picked up the Home Companion mag at the grocery store yesterday and saw your STUNNING Webster's Pages creations in their ad! Just Fabulous, Girlie!
