Triumph Tuesday

Boy, it's hard to change over your life. Hard to change the old mindset for a new one. It's only been a week and I'm finding it easy to forget my determination to triumph over the struggles and challenges I face everyday. Even with the canvas I made last week, which is sitting right in front of my face, the old behaviors easily overtake the new, unfamiliar way of thinking. But, I knew this was the way it was going to be. I wasn't going into this thinking I'd be successful 100% of the time.

I received the most thoughtful gift at the end of last week from my friend Jenn Nahrstadt (Just For You). She sent me an altered journal, in hopes I will fill it with meaningful scripture that I can memorize. I feel so lucky she would think of me this way and support my Christian walk. Thank you Jenn, you are the best!

So, you'll be happy to know that I added my very first scripture verse to the book Jenn gave me! Barb Hendrickson, one of my faithful readers, sent me this verse last week, which is so fitting for my challenge to triumph over my struggles! Here's the verse....

"Because the Sovereign God helps me, I will not be disgraced. Therefore, I have set my face like a stone, determined to do His will. I know I will triumph." Isaiah 50:7 .

How sweet was it that Barb sent me this scripture to encourage me???? Thank you Barb! It was the perfect verse to renew my spirit this week and keep me looking upward.

Do you want to see what I did to embrace Triumph this week? I altered this frame...

And turned it into this............

The paper I used to cover the frame is from My Minds Eye's new Confetti line (this pattern is called Party Sisters Paisley).

It is THE MOST SCRUMPTIOS line I have seen in a LOOOOOOONG time! I could hardly stop myself from stuffing more into my basket at Archivers. I couldn't get enough of it! The colors are GORGEOUS! I can't wait to put this new frame on my shelf in my office to help me memorize the verse and use it to lift me up in times of trouble! Great colors and a great verse, perfection!!!!

Thanks to all my friends for your support!

Gotta run and get ready for BSF!

Hugs,
Amy

  2. I know what you mean, Amy. My word is THRIVE: {to grow vigorously, flourish, prosper, to progress toward or realize a goal despite or because of circumstances}. I am finding it a little difficult to keep pressing onward, and overcoming past habits. But I know with God's help I CAN! {I sometimes forget that part though!}Thanks for sharing today. Your frame is BEAUTIFUL!!

  13. the frame reminds me that part of the victory that comes with persevering through to triumph requires "umph"! that's what popped out to me when i saw the photo of your frame.

i believe you have a LOT of "umph", girl, so give this triumph thing all you have.

i agree, though, that goals and determination to persist in reaching them is a slippery thing.

Thats a beautiful frame Michelle. I have been so missing my special walks with God on the tracks. It seems at home there are sooooo many distractions and I fall prey to everyone of them. I get encouragement from your site and many others as well so don't get down on yourself. God will give us spring soon!
