A Fabulous New Sketch Challenge!

It's taken me a few days to post again because I've been frozen solid by the fridgid cold that has settled here in MN this week.

Temps are in excess of 15 below, but windchills this time are somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 below. It's been unbelievable! And yes, because it's so cold, we played the freezing water game again! This time, the Hubster got into the action! Ya gotta laugh, when it's this cold, even in MN, there's nothing much to do for fun! You have to get your kicks where you can!!!

Talk about having some FUN.....it's time to head over to the Verve blog for the very first Honored Guest Sketch Challenge!

That's right, Julee's created an awesome sketch for you to design a card with. But what's so exciting about this sketch challenge you ask????? Well, if you play along and submit your card creation using the Verve sketch, you'll have the chance to win a coveted 1-month spot on the Verve Visual Design Team!!! You read it right, if you're the winner, you get to strut-your-stuff as a Honored Designer for the whole month of March! That means you'll get the same kit the design team gets in March; kits typically include stamps, paper, and a few other fun goodies! Personally speaking, Julee is so generous in her monthly design team kits, so I assure you, you will NOT be disappointed!

You are able to enter as many cards as you like. Just leave a comment on the Verve blog (on the contest post only please) with a link to an online photo of your card. And so ANYONE can participate, you don't have to use Verve stamps if you don't have any yet, so there's no excuses peeps! Anyone and everyone can play. Deadline for submission is midnight February 15th. The winner will be announced on Monday, February 18th. Be sure and stop by the Verve blog today for additional details, ok?

I've had many people send me personal emails about how I got "noticed" enough to be selected for design teams. It's stuff like this that gets you noticed, so if you're new to the design team world, this is your chance to get your name and abilities recognized out in the stamping blogworld! It's opportunities like these that are priceless! I hope all of my readers get motivated and give the Verve Visual Honored Guest Sketch Challenge a try! We want to be wow'd by all your beautiful creations!!!

While you're over at the Verve blog checking out the additional contest details, take a minute to see what the Design Team cooked up using Julee's sketch. Here's my card....I am in love with this Scenic Route paper (Metropolitan/Fountain). I've been using it so much lately. The colors are just so bold and bright! I actually used two different Verve stamp sets, Polka Stars and Seeing Stars. This card is definitely elegant, but at the same time, I used the fun and funky polka dot stars to make sure it wasn't too stuffy!

Well, it's time to run. Have a wonderful day. I can't wait to see what you come up with using Julee's sketch!

Hugs,
Amy

Amy, I'm back again! (I have been so busy that I now try to blog surf and comment once a week and get all caught up on past entries on my fav blogs...and you know you are still my fav!)

Anyway...I just love this card. I NEVER would have put the papers and the patterns and the stamps together...but you did and they are AWESOME...just like you!

Hugs girl. I wish I had time to enter Julee's searh for a guest DT...but this next month is going to be just as crazy as the last!

Sorry you are having those cold temps! I know what they are like, we had them earlier this week... it was -50.8 with the windchill and even a few colder than that at some points! Yikes! Stay warm!
