More Birds.....

ALERT: BIRD CARD! DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER THAN THIS IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE ENABLED AND TORTURED YET ANOTHER DAY!

LOL....I did that for my blogging friend Bethany (It's Not All Black & White). She left a comment yesterday that I was doing the "bird" thing (thang) again! You know, enabling. I'm really sorry, but I so love these birds. Do you know what the bad thing is though? I cannot find these stamps ANYWHERE online, not even on the Inkadinkado website. Either they're brand spankin' new and they haven't gotten them up on the website yet (nor can I find them on anyone's else's website), or, I got myself a renagade stamp set that isn't being released anywhere else in the whole wide world. Somehow, I think the real reason is the first option I gave. For some reason, they haven't gotten this beautiful set up on their website yet (even though they already have their Valentine's stamps up....go figure). For those of you interested, the # on the package is 97458. That is the only description the package gives. No fancy set name either. You know who else has these stamps? The very day I bought them Lila (Lila's Creative Corner) featured a card on her blog using the set! "LILA......if you're reading this, where did you find your Inkadinkado bird stamps?"

Since I can't stop inkin' up my birds, you'll have to suffer through another card today. I made this card using Jen's (I {heart} 2 Stamp) sketch from Saturday. I really liked the sketch, it was pretty easy to work with and I like how the card turned out using it. Thanks Jen! I don't think this card will get mailed anywhere. I made it more for my blog than for sending out. With the three big fabric brads on the front, I'd have to pay through the teeth to send it snail mail!

It feels so good to stamp again. As you know, it's been a while since I've been able to get into my studio to play with my paper and ink. I'm a much happier person when I get in here! Is that true for any of you? You should see what a disaster my studio is though. I can't see one inch of countertop anymore. Since we're having both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at our house, I have to start cleaning up in here this week so people will be able to see a what a really cute studio I really do have!

Thanks for all the fun comments yesterday about my Tim Holtz inspired tag! I have to be honest though with those of you who were impressed that THE TIM HOLTZ actually left a COMMENT on my blog......{SQUEAL!!!!!!}. He really DID leave that comment, BUT, I left a comment on HIS blog first giving him the link to my card and thanking him for inspiring me to make my tag. So, see, he's not a regular reader, and he didn't just "find" my blog willy nilly. I cheated and told him to come visit me! The GOOD news is I DIDN'T tell him to leave a comment! He did that all on his own:)!!!! LOL! I was thrilled he did though. I could hardly believe it when I saw it! That made my day!

Well, I've got to get going and go have some breakfast with Youngest Son. Have a great day!

Hugs,

Amy

  2. If I'm not mistaken (which I very well could be) I'm thinking that I read somewhere that Inkadinkado was making some exclusive stamps for Archivers. If that's the case, you won't find them anywhere else but there. So, those of us who don't live anywhere close to an Archivers will be out of luck. I love what you're doing with those birds. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Another beautiful card, as always (I'm a regular reader, he he :P).

Still loving those bird stamps and I hope they're up on the site soon! Though I am still in the process of getting the Hero Arts one and now I want these. Bad me ;)

  4. Love the card - and I'll tell you how I mail the cards I make that have a lot of ephemera on them. I either use cellaphane envelopes or clear containers that SU stamps come in. If you use cellaphane envelopes they aren't put through the sorter and depending on thick they are they usually only cost $.58 to mail - sometimes more if they are real thick. The clear containers usually cost about a $1 more to mail - but it's worth it to send the cards that are full of goodies and are so special for certain people.

  6. a silly question, but are you sure these are Inkadinkado stamps? I think it was Hero arts who was making some exclusive sets for Archivers and I know that there was a birdie one as I saw it in some blog... but I am not in the us unfortunately *sniff*. I so want those bird stamps.

  8. Gasp!!! for 2 reasons:
    1. I love these birds so much that as soon as I get my greedy little hands on my Christmas money I want to buy some (now to find them right!?) and 2. because t!m was here on your blog. That is soooooo cool. Not surprising though because Amy you know I think you rock and that's because it's true - you do rock!!!

  15. I like your bird cards. The Tim comment is a big honor. I left him a comment with a link to a card that I made that was inspired by his tag and he didn't comment on my post. He must have really loved your creation. That's very cool.
