Here is a card I made for my last hurrah on the Caardvarks Design Team. I must say, very humbly, that I-ADORE-THIS-CARD! Every square inch of it is covered with Webster's Pages designer paper that is so yummy I want to scream! That Terri Conrad is a genious designer if I do say so myself.....I used three different WP papers on this one, but I know that won't come as a surprise to any of you. I always say, the more the merrier! I'm pretty much NEVER afraid to mix a bunch of funky papers together.
I made this card for a fellow BSF leader who is moving. She was MY discussion group leader last year and this year, I joined her on the leadership side. I'm sad to see her go, but so thankful she was part of my spiritual journey. I learned alot from her, she is very biblically knowledgable, and I valued her input. She is also an interior designer, so you know I couldn't just give her ANY old card that wasn't absolutely beautiful:), LOL. I think this card fit the bill perfectly!
Well, I don't have alot of time to chat today. I'm off to shower so I can look halfway decent for Youngest Son's basketball game at 830am this morning. We'll play again at 11a, then it's off to my FIL's house to hang out for a while before the big church Christmas choir concert tonight that both boys will participate in. It is the most beautiful program ever, and I am so looking forward to sitting in the sanctuary for one hour celebrating the real reason for this season, the birth of Jesus!
Hugs,
Amy
PS....Thanks for all the wonderful feedback regarding my new look! I'm so excited about it, Sara did a great job!!!!
This card is so beautiful in it's simplicity. I love the shape of the sentiment. Also, your two ornaments commenerating your MIL are really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous card!! Love how you combined the papers.
ReplyDeleteAmy, I saw this card on the Cardvarks blog and new it was yours before I read your name next to it. What a great card - it's so YOU. Have fun today, be in the moment; breath it in and enjoy.
ReplyDeletei really like this card, especially the use of the brads! didn't see much use for them before, but how you put them to work works for me! enjoy the concert!

ReplyDeleteK.
I have really enjoyed your Caardvarks creations ... actually I enjoy all of your creation :^) ... keep doing your thing ... you do it well.
ReplyDeleteWell, Amy, I'm sorry to say that I do not like your new blog design at all! Well, I do like the Christmas banner, but I don't like the blah white background. The other one was so you and so exciting. When I checked your blog today I had gone on to another one before I realized that I had even been on your blog. Please, please reconsider the white background. the set up is great, it's just the blah look that is not you. Sorry to be so negative, because I'm such a positive person. But just have to be honest. I just always was so excited to see your blog because of the colors.
ReplyDeleteThis really *is* a beautiful card! How do you do it?! You amaze me when you mix patterns and come out with stunning card, after card.
