Good morning!
I've got a really fun Christmas card for you today that could actually be considered a "makeover"!
While I was at Target last week (always on the lookout for clearance items), I ran across this package of invitations for a "Couple's Shower". I'm always looking for good deals on envelopes (because they're so dang expensive), so I picked up the package and saw that it was only 98 cents!!!! A package of 10 4x7 cards and 10 4x7 envelopes....for 98 cents!!!!! I knew in a heartbeat I could makeover the cards into something useful and beautiful, so I snatched up the package and threw it into my cart. I {{{{heart}}}} getting a good deal!
Let me go off on a little tangent here before I show you today's card....you see, my friend and artist Terri Conrad (designer for Webster's Pages paper) is rolling out Christmas in a big way on her blog starting November 12th! First, Terri's set up an on-line boutique where you'll be able to purchase personally hand-crafted goodies created by Terri herself (and can I just tell you, her work is A M A Z I N G!!!!!) featuring Terri's Webster's Pages designs!!! You won't believe some of the creations you'll be feasting your eyes upon. Check out her beautiful invitation!
Not only will you have the opportunity to buy Terri's artwork in her on-line boutique, you'll have the chance to WIN something everyday for 12 days!!!!! That's right, Terri's Christmas celebration is called the 12 Days of Christmas and she's giving away blog candy!!!! Woo-hoo!!!! I need to be checking with her today to see if I can win even though I'm on the WP design team....I hope I'm not ineligible, sniff-sniff.....
Ladies, you are not going to want to miss this event. Be sure and visit Terri's blog right now, (wait, wait, wait....not until you're done reading MY blog), bookmark it or subscribe via your Google Reader, and sit back and wait for the fun to begin! It's going to be a blast! Be sure and tell all your friends about it, because honestly, you are not going to want to miss out.
In honor of Terri's upcoming celebration, I made this Christmas card for her to feature on her blog sometime during the big event. I love how it turned out, but do you know how long it took me to get the layout right on this baby? I am serious with you when I say that I am having major layout mojo issues!!! In the end, the layout turned out perfect, but getting there nearly did me in!
The two main paper patterns I used were from the Winter Wonderland collection and are called Candy Cane and Good Cheer.
Well, it's time for me to ski-daddle folks. The cherubs will be up soon ready to take on another day. Eldest Son will miss school today because the girl's volleyball team is in the State Championship Tournament. Game is at 9a, and the band will be going to cheer on the team. Tonight, our high school football team has another playoff game, which Eldest Son will have to march in. He's going to be one tired muchacho!!!
Guess what I'm doing at 10am this morning? I'm having a massage!!!! One of my TV reps is having a spa day for all their big clients and you had the choice of all these wonderful spa treatments you could choose from. Of course, I chose the massage, and I'm so happy I did! It's been a long, long time since I've had a full body, one hour, fabulous, amazing, relaxing massage....
I'll be sure and tell you how it went when I come back tomorrow!
Hugs,
Amy

ReplyDeleteWhat a great deal on the those cards! The end result is stunning!
ReplyDeleteAmy, I enjoyed reading your comments on the turquoise/aqua kitchen your mother had. Believe me, I enjoyed the "aqua" phase a lot better than the "avocado" stage. LOL
