I just received my new SU stamps! Here is the first card I made with my Fabulous Flower set.....I'm typically not a "blue" kinda gal (blue as in color, not blue as in mood), but since we're on a seriously strict budget at my house, it was time for me to start using up the paper I've got in my stash. This flower paper is from Paper Loft that I've had for months but was never inspired to use. Like I said, I'm not much of a blue gal. But, when your living in circumstances like we are, frugal is the name of the game!
I stamped the flower with Night of Navy onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Then I sprinkled Heat and Set on it, heated it from below, and then sprinkled glitter on it. I heated it one last time to get the glitter to "set". It's so spahhhhhkly! The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations, which if you can believe, I just bought! I can't believe I didn't buy this basic set sooner! I stamped it with Colorbox Fluid Chalk Ink in Dark Brown, and distressed the whole image with Ranger Distress Ink in Tea Stain. An olive green wide satin ribbon completed the card.
I hope you can see in the pictures how spahhhhhkly this card really is! Even though I'm not a fan of blue, I really like how this turned out!
Well, this morning I've got my BSF leadership meeting. Tonight is our high school football team's first playoff game. It will be COLD!!!! This morning its only 39 degrees. At least it's sunny! Be sure and head over to {Caardvarks} and participate in the new challenge "To Die For"......you have to use a die cut on the front of your card! If your card wins, YOU win a $20 gift certificate from "For The Love of Scrap". While your at {Caardvarks}, check out the beautiful cards made by our guest DT member, SJ Dowsett, wow, can she create beautiful stuff!!! You're going to love her!
Gotta run!
