Mini's, Mini's and More Mini's!

Don't forget what a big impact mini's can make on their lucky recipients!

I made all of these fun mini's for the {Caardvarks} "Honey I Shrunk My Kids" micro mini challenge back in the middle of September. Since I haven't had a minute of time to stamp yet this week, I thought I'd share these with you instead. Aren't they adorable?
Mini cards are perfect for letting that special someone in your life know that you love and adore them. I don't worry about putting them in envelopes--just plop it down on top of a special co-worker's desk, or slip one into your honey's briefcase for him to find once he gets to work!
They are so easy to whip up, which is a nice change from the full sized cards we spend so much time creating all the time. These mini's are also fabulous for using up those pesky little paper scraps you've got lying around everywhere. You all know I've got TONS of scraps in my craft room, that's why I had to develop a special weekly feature to try and get rid of them (Scrap Stash Saturdays)!

My plan is to make a bunch of these for my son's church choir director for her to give to choir students throughout the year. She's wonderful at connecting with these kids, and I just thought these mini cards would be perfect for her to give to a child that might be feeling down, or to say "congrats" when something good has happened in their life.
I've always wanted to be able to use my talents in service to God (after all, I wouldn't be able to do what I do if it weren't for Him), and I think this might be the perfect way to do that. Now all I need to do is find the time to make a bunch up!

Yesterday afternoon we were at Youngest Son's football game (still undefeated, yea!), and something outside was not agreeing me. I started sneezing and blowing my nose. It didn't get really bad until I got home, but for the rest of the night, I was sneezing and blowing CONSTANTLY. Not kidding. It was awful. The pile of Kleenex's on the floor next to the couch I was laying on was threatening to overtake the family room floor. I finally put myself in bed at 9p in the hopes sleep would make the sneezing and blowing stop. I'm not really quite sure why this happened. Obviously, we haven't had a freeze yet to kill all the allergens in the air. There was certainly something out there that was making me so miserable! Today I am exhausted from the sneezing and blowing and not feeling very well. If I didn't have Youngest Son's conferences later this afternoon, I'd stay in my Jammie's all day!

On a side note, did all of you buy your new Verve Visual stamps yesterday? Can you believe the price on these babies? $10 for each set of stamps? Good Golly Miss Molly! Julee did a fabulous job packaging them....this is the wave of the future guys, unmounted rubber stored in cd cases. She's a genius! I hope you were all able to buy some for yourself! You can go to the Verve Visual store to buy yours today if you happened to miss it yesterday, ok? I will be highlighting a card I made with these news stamps tomorrow on my blog, so be sure and come back, ok? Have a wonderful day, work hard, play hard, love completely.

Hugs,
Amy

  1. these are too cute, and i think the choir director will LOVE them. i'm so humbled that i have any creativity at all, and i know its source as well.

here's one thing that struck me as funny--when i saw the image on the last mini, my first thought was "hot water bottle"--you know the kind you used as a kid when you had a stomach ache? exact same color and shape!

any news on hubster's job search?

These are so great, Amy! You know all of those tags you get with the packs of Basic Grey papers? Well, I NEVER know what to do with those and I have a gazillon of them. Now I know exactly how to use them. Thanks for the great ideas.

How have you enjoyed BSF so far?
