Fore!

I found this fabulous golfing stamp the other day when I went shopping with Lue. I am alway on the lookout for the perfect "man" stamp, and I think I found it with this one! I stamped him with black Staz-on onto watercolor paper. Using my aqua painter, I painted him with Old Olive, Real Red, ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink in Chestnut Roan, Basic Black, and Ballet Blue. After I finished painting, I spritzed the paper with water and let it dry. That gave a sort of "splotchy" (in a good way) look to the image. I especially like how it made the grass appear three dimensional and the color vary in depth. I used two different designer papers, one to cover the front of the Old Olive cardstock, and the other to mat the golfer. Here's where the fun details come in. See the Riveting stamp?
See the golf ball in the middle of the image? Isn't that cool? To make the golfball, I took the large golfball stamp from Sporting Goods and stamped it on a piece of Very Vanilla. Then I took my small SU hole punch and punched the middle out of the golf ball image! It's the perfect size for the middle of the Riveting set. It's mounted with foam tape to make it stand out. So cool! I love how this card turned out! It's little details like these that make our cards stand out!

On a separate note, we are quickly reaching the 10,000 mark on Heartfelt Greetings! To thank all of you for your amazing support, I am going to be giving away some blog candy! I don't do this very often (some gals are constantly giving away blog candy!), so I'm going to try and make it extra special! I've got to go think of something really fun, so be sure to check back daily for the big blog candy reveal!
