I'm so glad Christmas is over. I absolutely crashed last night in physical exhaustion after we got home from spending the day at my brothers house. I have 3 brothers, 3 sister-in-laws, and there are 9 grandchildren, who get together every Christmas and spend precious time together, plus our Mom & Dad. We all get along great; we laugh, joke, and usually we sing together every Christmas. But this year, I think everyone was exhausted, not just me. No one wanted to sing! That was weird, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. We were the first ones to leave (very unusual), but we needed to get home to get my oldest son packed for his trip to Pasadena, CA. He was on the bus and ready to roll by 715am this morning! The trip from Minneapolis to Newport Beach, CA is 36 hours. He called just a little bit ago and is going stir crazy from being on the bus for 12 hours. I hated to tell him he had 24 more to go! Because they needed to get a good jump start on getting there, they didn't stop for lunch (we sent lunch along with him). Poor guy. I think by now they've finally had a chance to get off the bus and STRETCH!
Well, like I said, I am glad to be done with Christmas. I hope you don't think I'm a bah-humbug (usually I'm not this way), but I'm ready to make something other than a CHRISTMAS CARD!!! That's why I'm sharing this Valentines card with you that I just finished making a few minutes ago.
I used my CUTTLEBUG (of course), and my new Script embossing folder. It was so simple to put together. The circle paper is BasicGrey's new Blush line, which is GORGEOUS!!! I stamped a heart from my Rhonna Farrer line of acrylic stamps and cut it out, mounted it with foam tape on top of the BasicGrey and it was finished once I tied a bow on it. The letters L-O-V-E are from my new Olivia alphabet die cuts by Cuttlebug. I think these are going to come in so handy!
The second card I made today is this one....using, but of course, my Olivia alphabet and the Swirls embossing folder.
The flower and hi are part of the Olivia alpha pack, so it comes with MORE than just the letters, which is wonderful. Again, I jused the BasicGrey Blush line of paper.
It's fun to be making Valentine's cards again. I hope this inspires you to get started on your Valentine's cards!
