In Full Bloom

Don't you love In Full Bloom? I borrowed this set from my girlfriend a while ago, and can't seem to part with it! Recently, I saw this card by LodiChick at SCS and had to give it a try. The way she used the Take Three sentiment is really cool. I'm not crazy about the Take Three stamp set in general, but using it this way rocks! Of course, the designer paper on the card is BasicGrey (now that's not REALLY a surprise to you, is it, knowing me, the Queen of BasicGrey?), both the floral and the green distressed. First I stamped the flower in Night of Navy and then used my aqua painted to color in the flower image with Old Olive, Bashful Blue and a tish of Ballet Blue for added depth. After I was done coloring in the flower in, I covered the whole image with Jim Holtz's Distress Ink in Tea Stain, using my sponge. I just swirl the stain around the image with the sponge. I do this alot because it gives the paper a very worn, old look, and takes away the harsh glare of the Very Vanilla paper. Normally, I'm not a fan of blue, but combined with green, I find this card beeeeeuuuuutifullllll!
